The boat turned over, so bailing couldn't help

Today, at the gym, I spoke kindly to a girl of 20 years. The conversation was interesting. In the end, she said, why don't you talk with girls of your age? I had forgotten that I was not 20 years. Like what.

Sweaty you obviously haven't seen the news that a river boat capsized in a storm with great loss of life. There were a lot of children on board and they have formed the bulk of the casualties.

My veggie garden is producing such a surplus that my family and neighbours can no longer eat enough to keep pace. I decided to take some to work and give it away rather than let it waste.
So today I've learned that some people can be very suspicious of you if you offer them something for free.

I learned not to fiddle with the dial strings on tuner amplifiers because you'll only end up breaking them, as I did.

Cool 2 new things, ok maybe 3

1) Last Friday I learned that, even after 4 years of separation, my ex wife will put herself through a whole lot of hassle, and throw herself under the buss, just to make my life needlessly stressful for a couple of days:

She reported me to the Child Support Collection Department of our state-please know that I am current with my child support, albeit I have been late at times (I am a contractor and sometimes I have money, sometimes I don't), but I always pay what I owe and I tell her when and why I will be late. (please note our old family home is in foreclosure because she has not paid a dime to the mortgage for 5 months)

After spending all weekend with my stomach in knots and tasting acid in the back of my throat, losing sleep and grinding my teeth when I did sleep, and even snapping at my kids while trying to pretend to that everything was OK, I called the office this AM and was on hold for 30 excruciating minutes.

The woman who took my call turned out to be very nice, she informed me to not give my ex anymore money, but to make payments through the office. I asked about installments when money was tight and she said that was fine

Now, I sometimes give my ex extra money here and there for things involving my children-I even said I would pay for half of their passports so she could take them to England (I want my kids to have that experience). Won't she be a surprised and angry heifer when I inform her that the state has forbidden me from giving her any money that is not expressly stated in our divorce agreement .

So today I learned that worrying about something unknown and getting sick over it is useless.

I also learned that sometimes the good guy does win.

Blessings young children: sleep peacefully and well. Let the grown-ups sleep not, but open their eyes.
