So here's what happened. I thought I'd put up a "quick" post, but you know, if one wants to do a good job, these things are rarely quick. I needed to conduct the research for the post so that material is not duplicated, and the resulting search results also pointed to this thread.



Honor Blackman! (For God's sake.) Whatta woman!

Then I was sucked in to see what has been offered about Honor.

A member named "Mr. Bond" appears to be nuts over this lady, and who can blame him? One interesting thing I learned from this thread is that there was a time Honor capitalized on her image as a kick-ass female (weaned through The Avengers, and naturally the role she is most famous for, from Goldfinger), and came up with a self-defense book. That is the coolest.

Mr. Bond has offered images from the book here and here (some images have, alas, been deleted), and "Julesnbob" traveled the same path here.

Some ten posts up (#91), Member "MrX" made a very insightful comment about two years ago: "In my humble opinion she looks hotter than ever on this picture at 90 years old!!"

In the old television program, Sanford and Son, Redd Foxx's Sanford once made a joke that has kept getting repeated:

"Ain't nothin' on earth uglier than a 90-year-old white woman."

Sorry, pal; guess you never met God Damned Honor Blackman!

Coincidentally, the post I was working on led to other actresses I didn't intend to explore, and both (one, and the other, if you are curious) featured their appearances on the British comedy-horror TV series, Dr Terrible's House of Horrible. Now that I encountered Honor, I recalled her appearance from the same show, and dug that episode up:



She played a "Van Helsing" character in the show's first episode entitled, "Lesbian Vampire Lovers of Lust." Seventy-six, and yet when she appeared onscreen, I thought, still lookin' good.

The first photo above is from her appearance in Columbo (1972's "Dagger of the Mind"), where she played a famed actress trying to cover up a murder. Ms. Blackman seemed to be enjoying herself, and hammed up the role. Other shots; the last one has her snuggling to the lucky actor who played her husband, Richard Basehart:



Honor Blackman is so irresistible, even when her clothes are on one gets stopped in his (and no doubt also, often, her) tracks. Yet aren't we even luckier, when we get to see her treasures in the way God (or the Devil) intended for them to be seen?

(We should all bow our heads in deepest gratitude that Honor was so absolutely kind to prettify this crude earth, that she has given permission to offer her medicine not once, but on several occasions.)

I have some big news here, because I happened to be aware of a nude appearance of hers that has bypassed this thread.

Yet since I was in a "glorification of Honor's bare essentials" mood, I also wished to offer my take on a nude appearance that had been covered. Now that I'm writing, I just noticed that Member "Mehrangarh" covered the same territory only yesterday (as may be seen in the post directly above. The same scene has been similarly offered within this thread through the efforts of others).

I did the work, however, so you're going to have to bear with me. ('Cause I can't bear wasting my own work, precious as it is.)

1977's Age of Innocence appears to be a gem that is not easily available for viewing. Honor played an "enigmatic rich recluse," as the film's IMDb synopsis has worded her role, and she has an affair with the town's new schoolteacher. The ones behind the ad campaign for the movie, not being dopes, made certain to feature her enticing scene in the film's poster:

Isn't Honor Blackman enough to make Creationists of us all? Obviously, this body must have been engineered from one intelligent designer.

Now it's time for the "unknown" nude scene, at least insofar as what has been offered in this thread.

1970's The Virgin and the Gypsy appears to be another obscure film, one based on a novella by D. H. Lawrence, regarding the sexual awakening of a prim and proper daughter, as she falls for the macho Franco Nero, playing a Gypsy (or Roma, for the sensitive types). The sultry Honor Blackman most graciously displayed her forty-five-year-old rear end.
