I have seen something unusual

My parents and my dad's cousin and his wife used to houseboat on Lake Shasta in Northern CA every September, for several years. Many times I'd join them for the first 3 days of their holiday. I liked to take an air mattress and sleep on top of the house boat and watch for shooting stars. On one trip as I was doing my star gazing I saw a shooting fireball arc across the sky. As a size comparison it was about as big in the night sky as a U.S. Kennedy half dollar held at arms length. It was an amazing sight.

My cat loves to play, be it with humans or with other cats (even if his targets get pissed off by it).

Today I could hear him meowing outside with some other cat, so as usual I go to break them up. Only this time, something is different; he's only gone and brought back his own doppleganger! Almost a carbon copy of himself in every aspect including size, shape and age.

I had to blink twice and ask myself if I was seeing things, as it was like something out of The Twighlight Zone. Made me laugh more than anything xD

One of the things about it was the fact that unlike most small amusement parks that were constructed at about the same time in the U.S. that usually had only one rollercoaster, Riverview had three. The plaque next to where she sat said that when she was born she had to be rushed into surgery right away, because the slits for her nose were shut, and there was no mouth. The surgeons made those air slits, and made a hole for her mouth. When they originally cut open the space where her mouth would have been they found that she had no gums, so no teeth would ever grow. She had to survive on liquid food sucked through a straw. River view closed down for good in 1967. No mention of what happened to this faceless woman was ever reported in the newspapers. Now in that same spot is a huge strip mall.

@trailmaster Fascinating recollection sir, and you are sure you have no memory of what this woman was called? Or any more information in order for me to do a bit of research? I am a filmmaker from the UK, working on prep for a documentary about these very kind of shows, both here in the UK and USA. Thank you for sharing this fascinating insight
