Your Favorite Episode Of A TV Show
Great Another thread about favorite something.
I finished ripping my MASH box set a hour or so ago and had the idea for asking your favorite episode of any particular TV show. Since I'm on MASH, Season 1 Episode 2 "To Market To Market" That scene with Henry's desk hanging off the helicopter, and so early in the series for me at least set the tone for the whole series and you knew you were in for a great series. But that scene always kills me, it did way back when I was a kid and still does 40 years later

Star Trek TOS,Season 1.Episode 14.Balance of Terror,"Enemy Below" in Outer Space.A tense pared down story with a down beat ending free of incongruous humour. The episode features ST doyen Mark Lenard as the Romulan commander (He would also play a Klingon and Spock's Dad,Sarek),It deals with Cold War paranoia and racism,With Captain Kirk a self doubting Hero and Mr Spock reforming the nasty bigot.

A scene from Minder in the episode where an inflatable raft explodes open next to Detective Chisholm in The Winchester. I think it was Series 5 Goodbye Sailor.

The episode Elegy from the first season of the series The Twilight Zone by Rod Sterling.
A group of astronauts who had run out of fuel land on an asteroid. "Life" on the asteroid looks just like on Earth. They find farms, dance halls, ordinary homes etc. but the people are unresponsive. Frozen like someone hit the stop button. But they meet someone who talks. It's the caretaker of the place who expains to them that they're in a cemetery built for rich people in 1973. All the people on the asteroid have been embalmed in the scenery of their choice. The astronauts are told that much of the Earth bas been destroyed in a nuclear war in 1985 and that it took 200 years to recover. The caretaker asks the three men what their biggest wishes are and they all tell him it's to go home. He serves them some wine and soon they realize that they've been poisoned. It is revealed that the man is actually a robot who was inactive for 200 years and who's programmed to perform simple tasks like cleaning the place after which he deactivates himself again. He apologizes but emphasizes that his job is to keep the place peaceful and that wherever there're men, there can be no peace. Last edited by Brecht; August 17th, 2016 at 10:49 AM.. |

Alias Smith and Jones episode The McCreedy Bust: Going Going Gone when the boys are instructed to stay in a town and not draw any attention to themselves. Unfortunately, a hired gun hand played by Lee Majors threatens Kid Curry for wearing his gun in town. Curry plays it cool until the time finally comes to leave.

I have seen every episode of Supernatural but the one where Castiel is introduced really changed the direction and tone of the series. It went from a simple monster of the week adventure show to one which started asking bigger questions. I especially liked that they portrayed the Angels as fallible and flawed and not simple pollyanna do gooders.

Yes I liked Hong Kong Phooey , sweatyhat on the other hand liked He-Man ... Not that there`s anything wrong with that ...
I've tried to narrow down the particular favourite episode of my favourite all time cartoon , but couldn't.
Since as far as I`m concerned they equally all rock
