Victoria bitter! I don't drink any more, but when I lived in Australia, it was Victoria bitter all the way. I can't remember seeing Fosters in aus either, one of my best mates is an aussie, there's a beer he loves but the name escapes me.......I know that you're supposed to roll the bottle before you drink it, to shake up the sediment or something.

I'm drinking tea right now.

Unhappy Was in gratitude of the help I gave her this year with her nasty Turkish neighbours. Ugggh that better not mean she`ll call on me again to play peacemaker . As I've better things to do plus she`s got a bloody husband where`s he hiding ?!?

Wasn't intending to drink beer today or for the next many foreseeable weeks. As want to kick off a healthier regime before 2017 begins. To hopefully start as I mean to continue. Then my neighbour Sarah brings me round eight cans of Tangle Foot and giant bar of chocolate for New Year.
Thankfully I`ll be able to give the bar away as if I keep it I`ll open it and if I open it , it`ll be gone before the time it took you to read this post

I just read in Wikipedia that Foster's lager is still sold in Australia, but it is not so popular as it used to be. Surprisingly it is very popular in the UK. The UK palate must be screwry because most beer reviewers that I have read give Foster's lager a poor rating. I could be wrong, but I think the reason it might be popular in the UK is that it is very cheap. Good for pensioners and people who have low budgets.

Brits drink to get drunk TM! Most of us don't have sophisticated palates like Max and Mal and Mungy. That is a difference I've noticed between Brits and other Europeans (and Americans).

This was my beer for today. It is called J.W. Lees Harvest Ale. I think this is the finest tasting English ale of all I have tasted. Despite the 11.5% alcohol content it is very smooth going down. It has a taste of molasses, caramel, figs and even a hint of chocolate. It also happens to have been aged for almost 15 years.

That's Coopers Sparkling Ale from Adelaide. I love it but it hates me. The live yeast in even a small bottle gives me a big bad dose of the thruppeny bits.

Wink A drink even health conscious Trails would sign off on

Yes that and the Cola version is what I shall be mostly drinking for the foreseeable.
Alongside water and fruity juices.
Now I understand why the Fentiman family firm`s usual supply seemed to suddenly no longer be available to buy. They were upgrading their plant and doubling the bottle size.
Nabbed quite a few of both while they were reduced on this reintroduction to £2 each.
- Wince-
Indeed is still a sod of a price so I`m going to drink them sparingly. But worth it for the decent taste and non-harmful ingredients.
