That just doesn't work. If I search for "world war" I'll get some posts with 'world war' in for sure, but also some that contain 'world' in one place and 'war' in another. That's if I use the drop down box which produces an AND result; if I use the Advanced Search I'll get results that have just 'world' or just 'war' as well (use a plus sign - world+war - to get an AND result in the Advanced Search; it tells you exactly what it's searched for on the first line of the results, either 'world,war' meaning it used AND, or 'world OR war').

There is a tutorial on all this, although if you keep reading you discover that some of the information at the start of it is wrong.

Quote signs don't always work in this version of vB. Basically, it's an AND function, and if that doesn't return anything, it switches to OR.
