Why do we do it too ourselves?

My GF had the day off work today, so being the nice type of person I am, I suggested too her yesterday that we go shopping and then have lunch at a nice pub. Like most girls that was an invitation too a morning of self indulgence and trying too max out a credit card in 30 minutes.

She decided that she needed a new pair of jeans, here is the result after trying them on and asking my opinion

GF : Do these look good ?
Me : Don't like em'
GF : What don't ya like, I think they are OK
Me : They ain't Levi's, If their not Levi's they are junk
GF : You should try something different for a change
Me : You know the ol' saying, When you're on a good thing stick too it.

After about an hour of trying on what may have been 8 different pairs, she went with the Levi's anyway. I just grinned

Then came my big mistake, we went too the supermarket. There is a brand of pasta "San Remo", she's bought it ever since I can remember. She picked up packet of spaghetti and lasagna sheets and placed them in the trolley.
So I then said you should try a different brand for a change. What a mistake that was

She gave me this look she has that says don't say a word.
Well, we didn't go too lunch, rather it was straight home, when we got inside, she just pointed too the study , meaning I don't want too see ya for the next few hours .

It was a gift too me, an afternoon of peace.
But I was thinking too myself,
Why do we go out of our way too piss them off sometimes knowing full well of the consequences ?

Umm,
Why are we not as good as them?
By that I mean, They know us better than we know ourselves

Today my GF told me to go and buy a new suit tomorrow, she won't be coming along and just said "I don't care what it costs, just make sure it looks good and it suits you". Being the 10 year old I can be most of the time

I instantly grinned, yet somehow she knew what I was thinking and said
"The suits those two idiots wore in Dumb and Dumber are not suits"
these are them for those that don't know

But, strangely, that's exactly what I was grinning about and thinking too myself how funny it would be if I came home with something like those suits

Guess I better not

But she didn't say anything about Joe Pesci's suit in My Cousin Vinny

I guess I'm just wondering, Are we that predictable ?
Why can't we be as good at judging what they're thinking ?

Don`t fall into that trap mate we are as good, in fact we're much better if given the chance. It`s just women take advantage of the confusion our hormones generate and tie us in knots till we don`t know if we're going , although we sure as hell know we ain`t coming

They know we can barely contain our randiness and so take every opportunity to make us doubt ourselves and our actions . Be it with what we would prefer to wear , or where we'd rather go and eat etc etc.

Women treat us like kids one minute then suddenly want us to be protectors the next.

Oh and god help us if we mix the two up and try to step in when they really want us to hang back and shut up , or keep quiet when they wanted us to bang the drum .

Just found out the walking mouth has agreed to change internet providers without discussing it with me and has switched to bt broadband

Theyre coming around wednesday to set us up with their full package including calls . Bet she talked it over with her gossiping herd first and i bet even the neighbours dog got to give his view but do i get a chance

Me the mug wholl be paying

She says its too save money and that the bt set up gives the best service.But i say its those useless romcom crappy adverts that shes bought into. Maybe she thinks if she signs up shell be invited to the wedding or something

Unless those two are already married ?. Dont know as i always turn over onto anything else when any adverts appear and certainly ones with those two. Did you catch the one with that lanky guy going down a tunnel and getting patted on the back by micheal owen . Know i wouldnt be inspired by owen to do anything only just a fluke he didnt injure himself patting that other git on the back. Didnt want to change and didnt need to change

Now having read up about them i cant stand bt either and now shes signed us up to it. Notice she waited till the time had passed before letting me in on it so i cant cancel . 18 months signed up to bt and with a special gift of some bbc channels that show programmes i already paid for and never wanted to watch the first time they were shown on terrestrial

We have had words and then some with her as usual making out im the baddie in all this. I just think if youre not having any problems with the set up you have why switch

Am well p***ed off having the phone with bt to and that tv programme thing as i dont see the point. Reading online looks like more people are p***ed off with the service they get from bt than happy. Only ones who are happy are the idiots in those sickly sweet ads and the ones who live through them. Usually spend sunday here with my boddingtons and full fat crisps with a big bar of fruit and nut but am heading down the pub to drown my anger

. Would rather drink an over priced pint outside in the rain surrounded by loud familes and their louder kids than stuck in the house with that woman this afternoon. Were not speaking now and wont until she somehow forces me to say what she did was a great idea .Which will be a long wait as what will she threaten me with a lack of sex .Barely get a look in nowadays anymore anyway and when we do do it it takes a majority vote from the UN to be passed first before she agrees

Not even that greats shakes when we do it anyway now.She cant even say shell stop cooking because shes so bad she burns water

Not talking now But hearing her slamming cupboard doors and complaining about me under her breath is ruining my long weekend. Least im going out on a rental motor boat tomorrow with a couple of friends and having a bbq. Will look forward to that and try to forget im not happy or single.But then they only happen and work properly together

Off now to get hammered might even get hammered enough to order some pub food for dinner
