I am going to say "not much". Sure, it hurt her as far as voters who were thinking of defecting, but Hillary's refusal to bring the party together after the primary was the ultimate cause of her demise.

I would not be surprised if some Republicans are trying to get this done by any means necessary...

I am not sure he actually wants the gig. I think he ran because so many people laughed when he first suggested the idea. Winning the presidency was the ultimate "go screw yourself". I think he's happy that he won and I think that he's glad he defeated Clinton and spoiled her plans to be the first woman president but he doesn't seem to be too fired up about it now that he is starting to get into the thick of it. It's a big job for a 70 year old.

I think it's sad that he has so little support. That says a lot about who we are as a nation and it is not terribly flattering.

I am glad he ran and glad he won. He single handedly brought both parties to their knees. The GOP establishment didn't want him and he jammed it right down their throats and then as someone who wasn't part of the political machine he denied the Dems the White House. Our political system needed a jolt. A shake up. Maybe it will redirect things away from the same old same old status quo.

Considering Steve Bannon was just named Trump's chief strategist none of us will probably be able to read this thread in the run up to the 2020 election. Bannon thinks net neutrality is the devil [and I am not remotely delving into hyperbole with that comment]. Bannon has voiced his opinion that free and open access to the internet is not only wrong, but is an affront to what he views as American values.

Net neutrality is something that everyone, regardless of party, should support. It's why you can come to the VEF. Without the rules on net neutrality service providers (Time Warner, Verizon, etc...) can determine who's traffic can pass through their network. A couple of years ago when the FCC passed it's rather weak worded stay of execution for net neutrality Time Warner lobbied hard (like $15 million dollars hard) to end it. They were so confident they were going to win that they'd already planned a "bandwidth" auction.

The FCC didn't abolish net neutrality and Time Warner didn't get to hold their auction.

Surprise, surprise, surprise - Trump's list of cabinet picks is loaded with industry insiders and corporate lobbyists.

Thanks, suckers.

Hey, when he said he was going to drain the swamp, where did the people think the water was going to go?

They won't realise it for awhile. Come summer though I`m sure the smell will be more than noticeable.

Maybe not...if the following story is to be believed:

Vice President-elect Mike Pence is going to court to prevent his emails from being released to the public, the Indianapolis Star reported Monday.

Oh the irony...
