I used to go on occasion in Florida back in the '80's. Back then, the girls tried to earn your money in tips.
My last experience was in the early 200's. The girls WERE pretty rude, obviously believing that you owed them your money.
Very different now than it was in the past.
I don't mind paying but I don't think that anyone owes them a darned thing.
I won't set foot in one now.

The last time I was in a strip club was about ten years or so back. It came at the end of a night of dinner and drinks with two old high school friends, one of whom I had not seen in decades. After a couple more drinks at the club, I went to the bathroom and puked. It's probably the only time in my life that I puked after a night of overdrinking and not regretting it.

I was so loaded I don't even remember the girls. All I can tell you is that in Erie County, strippers are required to wear pasties.

The other, in deepest Soho, was called 'The Dolls House'. Given my previous experience I was quite surprised that this was just one IIRC modest entrance fee. And a really good show. Went back a couple of times on my infrequent visits to the capital.

In the late 60s, most of the clubs advertised an attractive low price, as DB83 writes. After you had paid it - a little further inside, round a corner, another man would confront you with a 'membership charge'. I think that most of the front staff were Maltese.

I also found a decent club which only charged once. It had - I realised later - a rather erudite name: 'Red Mill', a translation of 'Moulin Rouge'.

These strip clubs were very different from the present-day ones. There was a formal barrier between dancers and audience: no lap-dancing, no tipping, no contact. There was a small stage, and perhaps four rows of seats, six seats in each row. After each strip, there would be a little applause.

I say 'no contact'. On one occasion, when I was sitting in the front row, a dancer cleverly leaned all the way back and her head lightly rested on the top of my thigh; I instinctively moved a hand towards her, and she moved up again.

Dancers would perform in several clubs according to a timetable. You would sometimes see them walking briskly through the streets of Soho, carrying a small case with their props or costumes.

Crystal City Restaurant - across from the Pentagon. A friends said. Let's go for lunch, the food is great. WTF? Nope, he was right. Saw they were going to have Nikki Knockers in a few days, so I went back one evening. WOW. She is far more gorgeous in person, and a real sweetie. My waitress kept saying how nice she was compared to others. The waitress was not a dancer, but could have been in magazines herself. This was about 1999, and shortly after they stopped having "features". I have not been back, as it is not close but I might if in the area at dining time.

I worked in Warsaw in the early 90’s. There was a strip club down the road from my hotel, opposite the Palace of Culture. Central podium with seats around it, girls would climb up and strip to music. No payment expected beyond entry fee. I’d sit at the end and wank underneath the podium, don’t think I ever got caught. I did manage to buy one of the girls a drink, but sadly never fucked her. Biggest mistake of my life. Not only did I work in the liquor business , but my close friend had a lot of the popular strip joints in NJ, yes even the Bad Bing from the Sopranos. Long before I met him, when I was a kid I was delivering beer at 19 and my first day was as a helper, I remember how hot these girls were in `83. Then in 2002 I got back into the liquor business and used to work late, I used to have a circuit of 6 or 7 places and I must have had 150-175 hot dancers, I was not even drinking anything except water, it was a bad addiction, I didn't always suit up, and I did things now that I'm not proud of. I should be dead, but I always took the highest form of colloidal silver to protect myself when I got home. Long story short, I was reading an article about a guy just like me from Scores, NYC, and he met a dancer that ruined him. Same thing happened to me, Brazilian 5'10" amazing legs and ass, she messed with my head and I took a break. And found a new place to hang, then met a nice girl, she was twenty years younger than me, she took me for dance and stuck her tongue down my throat, she was hot, but hooked up with another guy and quit dancing? So like an idiot I went back to Valerie...she was married too. I had a nervous breakdown, but it was a blessing because I never been back to a stripclub in almost 15 years. From what I hear the new generation of strippers are self entitled...and fat.

They were great in the day the 1990's bt I believe they have been outlawed and close down. Any updates from members living there?

This seems to me to be a fairly accurate record of Edinburgh saunas. but I havino personal experience for over 25 years!
