Titbits are small pieces of trivia, information-not the magazine but two good ones there. Strangely the Americans say "tidbits"

Gillian Duxbury was also in episodes of The Sweeney (playing the girlfriend of a villain, sunbathing on the deck of a yacht with top undone) and The Professionals, doing judo training where Doyle wants to chat her up, so Bodie tells him to lose to her to impress her - whereas she would rather lose... as she does to Bodie, who cops off.. Luvverly posh voice too..
Donna Ewin was "Mrs Shag" in The Fast Show (Michelle Collins was also the 'go buy de gizmo' girl in TFS' 'Chanel 9' thread) And don't forget that Deborah Corrigan did occasional 'clothes horse' duties on 'Jim Davidson's Generation Game' (I remember one such where he made snide digs along the lines of 'cost me a lotta money, you did, didn't ya, Debs') |

I remember Linda Lusardi was in a magic show. I think it was Wayne Dobson who was the magician but Linda was on for about five minutes each week usually wearing some very tight revealing dress which amply displayed her talents. Worthwhile sitting through half an hour of tedium just for that really.
I also saw Donna Ewin is some BBC drama which Ray Winstone was in and she played a barmaid and lucky old Ray hit the jackpot and was smooching with Donna for quite a few scenes in an otherwise bland offering. Last edited by Greenman; July 18th, 2008 at 02:22 PM.. |

The old memory has come up with these:
Whoops Apocalypse. The film version of the original TV show has four well known Page 3 girls. One scene features Maria Whittaker and Karen Kelly topless in front of a load of sailors, while another scene has Suzanne Mizzi and Christine Peake as topless dancers. Has been on TV so might be again. Wildcats of St Trinians. Shows the late Debbie Linden and another blonde stripping off for some nude swimming, though you only get rear view. Has also been on TV. Also seem to remember that around the height of her P3 fame Debbie Linden appeared nude in some TV drama where her character drowned (more nude swimming?). Sadly never saw it so can't give any more info, but maybe someone else on VEF can? Clive James and the Calendar Girls. Jackie Jones and Sheree Boyland in documentary about shooting of 1981 Unipart Calendar in Kenya. Possible on cable/sat TV channels that exist on repeating old programmes? Flash. The colourful Flash Gordon remake with Queen soundtrack also features a number of top Page 3 girls from the time. Not that you that you can recognise them or even see much of them as they're all background extras made up as aliens - but there are some very familiar names in the end credits. |

Some good stuff there lads.
Re Debbie Linden and Wildcats-the other blonde was Luan Peters(her nipple is tweaked, as he gropes for a light switch, by an unknowing Basil Fawlty in an episode of "Fawlty Towers" The drama with Donna in it was I think a Christmas one with Ray Winstone. The Clive James video clips is on Sheree Boyland's thread as a link to dailymotion.com but you need to sign up for that.

Mid 90's P3 girl Michelle Collins appears in 'Knowing Me Knowing You - with Alan Partridge' in episode 2 as the assistant to magician 'Tony Le Mesmer.'
To prove his show isn't 'moribund' (as Alan tells us a national newspaper hack had described his first episode) Alan is strapped to 'The Wheel Of Death' with Le Mesmer throwing knives at him. Collins stands to one side doing the usual display gestures magicians assistants do. It seems on some of the internet sites regarding actors etc that this part is mistakenly credited to the other Michelle Collins of EastEnders fame. And on that bombshell... ...AHA!!

A poser for you all; several p@ge 3 girls have stood for paliament, usually for frivolous parties, sometimes on behalf of David Sullivan's papers.
Which ex p@ge 3 girl though has stood for parliament for one of the big 3 parties (ie Labour, Conservative or Lib Dems)? |

The answer is Marina Baker, who stood in the 2005 General Election (unsuccessfully) for Parliament in the Brighton Kemptown constituency as a Liberal Democrat. She has been quoted as saying 'I'm not sure p@ge three girls can become MPs'.
P@GE THREE GIRLS ON TOP OF THE POPS Corrine Russell -dancer with Tight Fit - The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Samantha Fox- many singing appearances with her 1980's solo career. Jayne Marconi - who after her early 1990's topless modelling career, by the end of the decade she presented several TOTP's (sadly fully clothed). Would be interested to know of any others. Pretty sure neither Blonde on Blonde (Nina Carter and Jilly Johnson) , nor the Claire Russell/Felicity Buirski/Stephanie Marianne 1977 group never graced the programme (more's the pity). |

Didin't Linzi Drew once run for election? I can't think it was one of the big three so no doubt it would have been some wheeze of David Sullivan's magazine to call it something ludicrous.
As to Corinne being in Tight Fit I am not so sure that she was-can anyone provide some written proof of this or even pictorial?
