In Britain they've almost made a profession out of scam marriages with money paid just to bring a fake partner and possibly later their dependants into the country then after the ceremony they separate and never see each other again. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sham_marriage http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime...-a3369381.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017...a-315000-sham/ http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...rriage-7043395 Plenty more where they come from. Love and sham marriage go together like a horse and cabbage These are pure economic migrants looking for a back door into the UK to live off taxpayers expense. Like Australia we should be concentrating on bringing in people who can add something positive to the country. It's stories like the above that make many cynical about our pisspoor existing immigration controls. Maybe outside the EU things may improve but I'll not hold my breath as the touchy-feely mob will still be bleating about people's rights

I have no children and one of the reasons why is that I take very seriously the principle that a father and mother should be able and willing to raise and support their own kids.

No-but there should definitely be a licence to breed required....and a lifetime of observation convinces me a lot of people should never be issued one...

Actually I agree with your sentiment-but not the reasoning-Britain will become a wasteland......because too many people are sucking on the taxpayers' tit and too few actually contributing to the tax take! Everyone in the UK (except those 2 nutters squatting on Rockhall!) imposes some degree of burden on the societal infrastructure-regardless of sex, age, religion, education, health status, social status and employment -the system collapses when the demands on it from those who aren't contributing exceed the input capacity of those who are. It is morally unconscionable to willfully and deliberately accelerate the process. |

Yet we seem to have a system that encourages the feckless to breed at the same time as it discourages reproduction by the better class of person

There is no scam in Germany (I think so...), because the marriage partner has to pay all the alimony, inclusive health insurance ect. . If the partner is allowed to work (double income) after a while, he/she is able to pay for the health insurance ect. alone. For the time of five years there is no tax support for the partner; inclusive an eventual baby (is not automatically a German citizen) . So for the marriage person it's anything but cheap !!! Like I said before: the marriage - partners have to live at the same place during this period. If there is one of the points not fulfilled, the partner has to leave the country (I think within three month). Of course there couldn't be proof of "LOVE" from the officials (that's impossible as you can imagine). The only financial support is to learn the language with a much to low amount. ------------------------------------------------------------------- There is an other issue going trough the German press: They (communities ) were searching for partnerships (not marriage) for the refuges. All thought, until they had an official refugee status. Why not they thought, if they had the money. Ha, ha, not at all, the "partners" got served the bill of the of the migrant offices. Several thousand EURO's - and a amount of money month by month. It fulfilled me with a certain spitefulness. The cases are now at court.

I take my hat off to parents everywhere and am happy to support and educate their children. I never relished the idea of having kids - far too much like hard work for a waster like me. But I will be a pensioner soon and I will need their help just as they needed mine. |
