Google image search getting more and more useless?

Google image search used to be fairly decent for NSFW images. If I had an image, it would usually help me find the set it came from, or at least a partial set.

Over the last couple of years, it seems to have progressively degraded to the point where it's now virtually useless, and rarely finds matching images at all. I've tried tineye and Bing as well, not getting much better results.

No, I don't have "safe search" on.

Does anyone know what's up with that?

Search engines have been major targets for DMCA takedowns for the past few years. Obviously, they don't want to deal with the hassle involved anymore.

The trick with all search engines; Google in particular; is to add specific wording to any image search as well as said image. I've had obvious pix of famous ladies come back with suggestions like 'ladies clothing', whereas adding the name next to pic then found the pix i wanted... Like the man said though, the authorities cracking down, & Google like to comply for fear of being asked to pay their actual taxes instead..... like the rest of us have to.

I wasn't sure if I could mention the Imagefap site, but it shows up as mentioned in many posts. They seem to use some sort of facial recognition system that compares models to models. For example, you may see a pic there and then notice a smaller version of it below the main pic. Clicking that will take you to a page of what they consider to be similar pics. You may want to try searching for a certain person and see what you find. Keep in mind that not all of those posts are sets or even full size, but some are both, with or without the actual names. And be sure you have some sort of ad blocker installed, that site is full of them. For example, I just tried it by searching for Courtney Cass. You can see one result below.

They are using DeepMindy to do this. It's pretty good but DeepMindy has a fairly modern slant when you go directly to their site. For vintage images, its very lacking. But if you like modern models its quite good.

I have recently found IGoogle addon for Firefox to be somewhat better than the regular addon.Just right click image & search.

Like Duck, it doesn't track, rides on the back of Google's strength
..but try it and see the alternatives it offers.

Like Duck, change your Region/Country and see the different results.
Quite frightening regarding politics that Google find, and politics that Start Page finds. Same goes for ...say films.

Another choice for a greater search, a less diluted search.

Their image results are pretty naff, but in 'Web' or 'News' you will pick up instantly on links that would/might be on Google Page 4,000...if then

I've tried with different browsers and images and disabling ad-blocker with no luck. I've also tried to put in an image taken directly from imagefap's face search like this but nothing to do! I don't know if it has momentary issues or has just closed. Can you run it?

Agreed. A couple of months back it was working fine but now it seems to hang indefinitely. It still works for older images from within iFap but if the model isn't in there already it is fairly useless. There are one or two new crowdsourced porn star facial recognition sites coming up but they are in their early stages and require much more participation before it becomes a viable idea.

Looks like Mindy has been shut off completely on their site. Even the older images are no longer doing related search.
