I have no idea what your source is for that. I know that we in Seattle have welcomed the idea, and our mayor has made that clear. You bigots are welcome to live in your racially pure cocoons.

It is typical that you refuse to describe refugees as refugees.

Default Yemen war: Trump vetoes bill to end US support for Saudi-led coalition

US President Donald Trump has vetoed a bill passed by Congress to end support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen.

Mr Trump described the resolution as an "unnecessary" and "dangerous" attempt to weaken his constitutional powers.

It is only the second time Mr Trump has used his presidential veto since he took office in 2017.

Opposition in Congress to his policy on Yemen grew last year after Saudi agents killed the journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

The resolution passed the House of Representatives in April and the Senate in March, the first time both chambers had supported a War Powers resolution, which limits the president's ability to send troops into action.

"This resolution is an unnecessary, dangerous attempt to weaken my constitutional authorities, endangering the lives of American citizens and brave service members, both today and in the future," Mr Trump said in the veto message.

The House Speaker, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, was among those to condemn President Trump for the move.

Well, it seems like the Supreme Court will get to weigh in on the constitutionality of the War Powers Act, again. I am pretty sure that Congress intended that it should be able to recall military forces committed by the President when Congress had not declared war and limit the President's power to make war without its approval and allocation of funds. I don't see how the court can allow Trump to ignore a congressional resolution passed by both houses, but I'm not a lawyer. It does seem that if Alioto, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh are indeed strict constructionists, Trump will be overruled by a large majority of the court.

Default Trump angrily turns on Fox News after interview with Bernie Sanders

Donald Trump has turned on Fox News after the right-wing news channel hosted a town hall with Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders.

“Many Trump Fans & Signs were outside of the @FoxNews Studio last night in the now thriving (Thank you President Trump) Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for the interview with Crazy Bernie Sanders,” Mr Trump tweeted on Tuesday evening.

“Big complaints about not being let in – stuffed with Bernie supporters. What’s with @FoxNews?”

The president’s claim his supporters were barred from the event was contradicted by local media, who reported a range of political groups were in the audience, including Trump supporters.

“So weird to watch Crazy Bernie on @FoxNews,” Mr Trump had tweeted earlier. “Not surprisingly, @BretBaier and the ‘audience’ was so smiley and nice. Very strange, and now we have @donnabrazile?”

Mr Trump’s attack on the town hall crowd came after many expressed support for Mr Sanders’ Medicare for All healthcare plan, apparently blind siding Fox News.

The morning after the event, Fox & Friends, a news show which consistently supports Mr Trump and his agenda, invited a tax expert to cast reservations about Mr Sanders’ healthcare plan.

Default Mueller report: Trump 'tried to get special counsel fired'

US President Donald Trump tried to get the man appointed to investigate his links to Russia fired, a long-awaited report has revealed.

Details are continuing to emerge from the 448-page redacted document, collated by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which was released earlier.

Mr Trump's legal team has described the report as a "total victory".

But the country's top lawyer, William Barr, is facing heavy criticism of his handling of the report's release.

Senior democrats have accused the attorney general of "misleading" them with an earlier summary of the report's findings regarding whether Mr Trump obstructed justice.

Have you actually read the Mueller report? I have. And what is in your post does not square with what I read today in the report.

No solid proof of collusion; Solid evidence of obstruction.

Or is your copy more redacted than mine.

The last statement is just fake news.

Default Democrats vow to probe Trump 'obstruction'

Democrats have vowed to continue pursuing Donald Trump over allegations he obstructed justice, following the release of a report into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

They want Robert Mueller, the man who collated the report, to publicly testify before congress about the work he has done.

It comes after a redacted version of the document was released on Thursday.

Mr Trump's legal team has said it completely exonerates the president.

But while the report does say the president did not collude with the Russians, it did not come to a firm conclusion on the issue of obstruction of justice.

It also reveals several occasions when Mr Trump tried to hinder the investigation itself - including attempting to have Mr Mueller removed.

Default Sarah Sanders admitted to lying to reporters about Comey firing

After Trump fired James Comey, the White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders repeatedly claimed in live press briefings that the rank and file of the FBI had lost confidence in the FBI director, and that “we’ve heard from countless members of the FBI” who did not support him.

Those statements had no basis in fact, Sanders later admitted in interviews with special counsel Robert Mueller’s office.

The redacted version of the special counsel’s report released on Thursday included multiple examples of Trump’s current and former press secretaries making false claims to journalists, particularly in the days after Comey’s firing.

Sanders, the current White House press secretary, told the special counsel’s office that a statement she had made to journalists about the Comey’s lack of support within the FBI “was not founded on anything”.

Sanders’ claim on 10 May 2017, the day after Comey was fired, that “countless members of the FBI” opposed Comey was “a slip of the tongue”, Sanders told the special counsel’s office in an interview last year.

Sanders repeated that “slip of the tongue” during a press briefing the following day, when skeptical White House reporters questioned her on her claim that Comey did not have support within the FBI’s rank and file.
