One of our many police scandals here is the revelation that after the police discovered that the underage daughter of one of their dispatchers had been coerced into prostitution, they forced the girl to give them free blow jobs. Our local D.A. is a nationally known crusader against underage prostitution. She was not all all amused and several officers are in very deep do-do now. |

I don't think the police get the appreciation that they deserve.
They deal with the scum of society every day. Drunken fools are just part of the problem. I would believe that many people in this particular police office shoes, if not on video, would beat the crap out of this obnoxious idiot. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f5a_1470927187 Police will get the benefit of the doubt now and in the future. |

Support.
This night, 2 am , my neighbour decides to listen some music. Strong.. I decide not to knock at this door, as he was shouting as well due to his alcoholic level. Called the police, 10 minutes after, problem was solved. |

Saw this article and was reminded of a conversation with an officer about the heartbreak of police work. He especially hated going on domestic dispute calls on Christmas Day. According to him, there were many of these call on that day and alcohol was almost always involved. He wound up changing professions not too long afterwards.

A story from The Intercept about an Interesting 2006 FBI report about the growing infiltration of white supremacists in the nation's law enforcement.

I recall back in 2010 going to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and afterwards thousands of people are coming back down the Royal Mile . Anyhoo the authorities must have called in the biggest, musclebound, square-jawed police and soldiers they had and to my surprise, the peace keeping skills of those guys were amazing. Kept it light and good humoured, joked with the crowd, had people laughing at their antics.
I won't say I inherently have respect for the agents of law enforcement, but I certainly did on that night for those cops. Although I suppose the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo probably doesn't attract your typical soccer hooligan crowd looking for a bit of biffo. |

Can anyone verify the often-cited statistic by the Left (and some libertarians), that you are more likely to be killed by a police officer than by an ISIS terrorist, is true?
I think that Trump's willingness to restrict freedom because of ISIS, is a lot like Clinton's calls for gun control around the time of the Columbine shooting. |
