If a terrorist atom bomb is about to explode and the hero is attempting to disarm a key piece of (unfathomable, probably booby trapped) wiring with the scissors on a Swiss army knife, he will cut the blue cable at about 3 or 4 seconds before the bomb detonates. This rarely fails to work and a major city is always saved.

496 if a baddy and a goody are on a train,they will always end up fighting on the roof of the train, usually finishing up with the goody lying on the roof,with the baddy standing over him, about to deliver the killing blow, when he is battered by an approaching tunnel
