Only just come across this thread. Started working through it and hope this one isn't already here, but:

If there is a door with an electronic lock that you need to force open - shoot it. On the other hand, if it's unlocked and you want to lock the bad guys in the room behind you - shoot it.

Watching James Bond' Spectre and thinking about this thread. The most laughable cliche in these types of movies is that they catch Bond but the ego of the villain is so overblown that instead of killing Bond, he first has to humble him, let him know that he's been beaten and by whom, and force him into a slow death with some kind of torture device, of course allowing Bond enough time to find a way out of it because they always leave him his watch, (you would think any self-respecting thug henchman would steal the fancy Omega watch he always wears).

Interestingly, the same thing used to happen with Batman but even more careless is they never think to unmask him when they had him.

I've mentioned this before somewhere. Bond is so incompetent that he's been caught at least 20 times. Anyone else would have been sacked.

Actually, in The Dark Knight one of the Joker's henchmen tries to unmask Batman but gets an electric shock.

Yeah that's one of the few times in the history of Batman that it happens. But throughout all the tv series, movies and even cartoons, that seems to be the last thing on their minds. You would think blackmailing Batman about his identity would be as effective as killing him since they constantly seem to fail at terminating him.

CPR is best accomplished by pounding violently on the victim's chest and screaming at them, while sappy violins play in the background.

Didn't that happen in one of the Spiderman movies? His friend Osborne somehow captures Spiderman (who he hates, not realizes that it's actually his friend Peter Parker) and discovers the truth.

Or am I thinking of something else?
