Well, lies are more common than fleas on a hedgehog, but the BBC is not the only source on this story. Other sources include Human Rights Watch; The Independent; the New York Times; Voices in Bioethics; The National Kidney Foundation and not to mention European Parliament resolution 2013/2981(RSP) which was debated and passed 12th December 2012. There are plenty of other sources but I wont waste time citing British or US government sources, for example, since your premise seems to be that we naughty western types are lying about China(?).

If on the other hand you are pointing out that we western types aren't pure as the driven snow either, then I can only agree.

Noticed the other week, but too lazy to post:

The 'family bag' of maltesers has gone down from 121 grammes to 103 grammes.

So, from 170 grammes in about 2008 down to 103 grammes in 2016. It's a disgrace.

Just wanted to let you all know that my pre-50th birthday Lunch was a resounding success. It also turned out to be more emotional than I thought with my best friend doing a speech about our friendship and completely blind-siding me with his sentiment(though not gushing). When I stood up to do my speech I was fine, but towards the end I was a little choked up. All in all, a really good day and the weather stayed fine until late.

You must be eminent. When I was 50, no one noticed. Nor when I was 60, nor when I was 70. Well, one or two noticed, but I didn't have to give speeches

I had planned to do something for my PRE-50th birthday(I emphasised to everyone the word PRE) that was a bit bigger than normal, but I also asked my best friend to say a few words. I also decided to do a short speech about myself although I don't like being the centre of attention(which means I would make a lousy celebrity) I wouldn't say eminent, just well-loved. There were a few problems. I noticed they had spelt my name wrong on the sign outside the door, then they spelt my friend's name wrong, and the table plan had two mistakes made too. The food was very good and it was a successful day. I have a lot of cards to open tomorrow AND a huge bottle of champagne that someone got me - god alone knows when we will get to that, as I don't drink that much and to me champagne is vastly overrated-Prosecco is actually better. This is so big, it is the same sort those Formula One boys waste at the end of the race.
