Have shifted onto this.

Is it any better than the previous tripe i suffered through you ask

Well lets just say compared to this that other movie should be considered the horror equivalent of Citizen Cane !.

Yes i predict several taps on the fast forward button, as this is so bad i doubt the legendary nerves (As in impatience) of adamantium Wendigo would be able to last even a quarter of the way through

Actually it looks so cheap and is so boring i`m wondering whether to jump ship already despite being only seven minutes in

Ok truth be told i am now jumping ship , since i`d rather watch myself be deboned with a rusty paving slab than endure any more of this shite

How they were able to call their film Night of the living dead , whatever , i still can`t understand

Ugh i feel ill

Maybe i better stream something semi decent and scary .

Such as a random episode of doctor Quinn medicine woman

Toughest Man in Arizona (1952)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045249/

I used to find westerns boring. Now they hold a fascination, no matter how routine or low-budget. TMiA has a predictable story but its elements are carried out well, even with crooner Vaughn Monroe as the lead good guy.

The Sea Chase (1955)

John Wayne plays a German sea captain.

No, I haven't gone mad, John Wayne plays a German sea captain. Karl Ehrlich is old school Imperial German Navy who doesn't think much of those Nazi upstarts. Early September 1939 finds him on an old steamer in Sydney Harbour, where he meets an old friend, RN officer Napier (David Farrar). Napier has his fiancé in tow, Elsa Keller (Lana Turner). Ehrlich knows Elsa has form, and it turns out she is a German spy. He manages to break the romance. This doesn't go down well with Napier.

With war about to be declared Ehrlich on the Ergenstrasse does a runner, not knowing Elsa is on board. On board HMAS Rockhampton Napier vows to track him down, but the RN and RAN ships have the devil of a time trying to do this.

When Napier talks about Ehrlich's course options, he says they can rule out the vast Pacific to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east. This doesn't really work from Sydney, so that might explain their difficulty.

Wayne doesn't play the part with a Col. Klink style fake German accent, and for that I'm grateful. Lana Turner looks ravishing for the whole voyage. Cast includes James Arness, Alan Hale, Claude Akins and John Qualen who is terrific as Chief Engineer Schmitt. The Wayne/Turner combo doesn't work all that well.

The story is based on the steamer Erlangen, which slipped out of Lyttelton Harbour on 28 August, 1939. She evaded HMNZS Leander before eventually being intercepted off Montevideo on 24 July 1941 by HMS Newcastle and scuttled by her crew.

A highlight is Sydney Harbour in 1955, looking glorious.

Back on Earth to Apartment 1303 (2012)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1540767/

Another remake of a spooky Japanese ghost story, good cast including Rebecca DeMornay and Mischa Barton and music is suitably creepy so will see how long the tension lasts

Yes it`s a TV movie (Calm down, i don`t mean transvestites )

Only despite that setback it`s so far surprisingly well acted and watchable !.

Sure so it`s not exactly true to the actual murderous real life of the aforementioned Mafia mentalist. Yet full credit to Armand Assante as he gives a top class performance all the same

The Purge: Just got to see this last night. Premise looked interesting. A fictional utopian society that owes its success to an annual 12 hour period called the "Purge" where all crime, including murder, is legal and deemed necessary to cleanse people of their toxic emotions of animosity, hatred, jealousy, envy, lust, basically the deadly sins plus. On this night, the main character is a home security developer who tucks his family in for the night confident that his home is locked down and safe when his son takes sympathy on a homeless man looking for refuge from a murderous mob, and lets him into their home. The mob descends on the house demanding their "sacrifice" or else they'll enter by force.

Not bad. Did very well at the box office. A little predictable in spots and a few twists. 6.0
