What Have You Learned Today ?
That at 108 years of age I`m now considered too old to be a Gynecologist.
For the living anyway Still and as I always never say. You take what you can get. Provided nobody is looking

That my wife was right and a day with no food persuaded the dogs to eat what they're given....although how she can harden her heart against three sad little faces thinking 'what's this muck in my bowl!' is beyond me.

The other night I was watching an old episode of Open All Hours from the 1980's and in it the character of Granville (David Jason) tries to "get down' with a cool young guy by talking to him.
But here the thing ladies and gentlemen-that episode was first filmed/broadcast in 1985 and yet, during the conversation he actually used the word 'Like' at least twice in that conversation. I actually had to rewind this and play it again just to make sure I heard it properly. I was quite astonished by this because I always thought using "Like" in that context was a relatively recent development. I didn't realize that it was being used like that has far back as 1985. |

Today I Learned
If you have the day to yourself, do something for yourself Don't be stupid and do housework just to be nice I could have gone to see Mum, I could have had a round of golf, I could have gone down the pub, I could have taken my V8 for a cruise, I could have bummed on here, I could have watched movies but no ... I did housework Generally she does the inside and I do outside but not a rule. So, did all the laundry, cleaned bathroom, vacuumed all rooms, tidied up one closet and and and and .... made dinner So apparently I forgot to bring the washing in from the clothes line Women

I got a new crown fitted at the very back of my teeth - after a break in the tooth
I had to endure an 1 hour of scraping and drilling for it to get made ' ready ' and a further 1 week of pain with a tear in the gum cheek from the operation ( under local anaesthetic ) - been a crap month for me so far... and I am now miserable this morning , waiting for it to settle down - and feel ' normal ' I know its a few hours after fitment - but it feels strange and foreign - and my bite is feels off - oh the joys of Dentistry ........... I have a few days before it will feel normal ----- |

One of the shitty things about being old enough to retire, is V8's become a thing of memory and you end up driving a sensible 1.8 Civic. Still, at least it only costs me about ten bucks a week to run. The same amount it costs you to back out of your driveway.
