I am posting this here because the photo thread discourages discussion. It is an interesting photo that I had not known was published. It turned up on a Bing search. A lot of photographers in the 1970s used their homes, the homes of friends, or even model's homes as locations for photo shoots. The little statue indicates that this was a location used by Lance Kincaid, a contract photographer with American Art Enterprises. Lance started photographing for porn magazines in the 1960s and the last I heard he was still doing it in the 2000s when he was pushing 80.

Lance was considered a boor in the business because he insisted that he had sex with every model he photographed. While most photographers were serious professionals, the times were very different and it was not unknown for photographers to pressure models for sex. Kincaid once told Larry Shaw, an editor for American Art, that he didn't photograph any model with his "Don Quixote" statue until he had sex with her.

Sylvia McFarland was photographed in that house by him to (Hustler 1974?) so I wonder if she caved for him.

Roxanne Brewer also had a photo session there if I recall from seeing this house.
Gotta hand it to Lance for having the likes of Roberta, Sylvia and Roxanne !
Imagine if all 3 were on the same “shoot”!

In the "Why do softcore boy/girl shoots?" thread there is a discussion of the likelihood that hardcore footage of some shoots, either still or movies, exists but has not been released. I have posted some of my reasons for thinking that such footage exists of Roberta. I have a reason that I did not list there. It was known among a group of people who knew her well that Roberta had/has a strong case of orgasmic blush which several photographers caught before it faded. Most of the time editors either rejected the photos or had them processed before publication to remove the condition. It is evident in a few shots:

Interesting, I wonder how many other shots are like out there, I cant recall from seeing this in my collection, that is unless I overlooked that 'condition' thinking it was just a cheap color photo development process.

Yes, she is STILL alive despite all the BS about her and all those false rumours.

Roberta Pedon gives an interview with other women, each of them reflect about their life. 1st lady of note is "Madame" Maria Perego who created Topo Gigio! 2nd is someone involved with politics...then Roberta herself! She appears to have had a very interesting life journey and this is what her interview is mostly about so if your thinking there is a segment devoted to her times in the US getting naked for all those photoshoots we know her from, you will be disappointed. Her life behind the camera shows her a more sophisticated, cultured and well travelled person. I wonder if that experience (boobs aside!) helped give her that something extra special for how the camera captured her so well but I digress!

Her past shows her as a free spirited hippy travelling from Europe through Asia; she was involved with a photojournalist who was killed during the conflict at the time in Afghanistan from what I understand, a stop over in Japan for some modelling, a bit about her time in the US, then as a make-up artist on photoshoots.
Although I am sure its discussed in this interview, you will need to translate the video to learn anything about her nude modelling in the US.

It was nice to see her talk about her life experiences and reveal some interesting insights and photos which I screen capped and included here. Don't expect to her be like how we knew her from all those wonderful photos on her thread and beyond! She was the embodiment of someone from that period who embraced travelling and culture not to mention enjoying herself as the term "hashish" was often quoted in the interview!
