Open Matte versions with extra nudity - Page 3

With this film both versions are chocca full of full nudity anyway, but it does show that framing still can miss out important details. It's the HD TV version that has been re-framed to cut out the top and bottom which is unusual for this thread.

Can someone re-up the full-frame version of Mary Steenburgen's nude scene from MELVIN & HOWARD? In the widescreen edition, she is seen from the waist up, whereas the full-frame versions available on VHS, laserdisc, Beta, and on cable briefly showed her full-frontal, as you can see in the captures below.

Also, on the Mary steenburgen thing, there's an ancient version where you can see clear down to lower thighs as she's walking, almost knees, but not quite. 320x240 with tv scanlines around on a cd somewhere in a few versions. there was a nude hunt on her back in the mib days. I'm sure Tuna did one of his collages on it. I can picture it in my head, but where it is on of of my backup cds i have no idea.

Another is Mimi Rogers, Full Body Massage, when she gets into the hot tub. It's almost completely cut now, but in the original cable version, she bends over ass-on to the camera and swirls her hand in the water before getting in, now it's reduced frame and matte cut so you dont get a great view.

There is a scene where she's on her side getting massaged. Her bush area is blurred. Was that always the same?

i dont remember anything being blurred out, and honestly what would be the point? Then again, she's naked so much in the movie, i might have missed something. I certainly remember the hot tub part.

I trust I don't need to point out where her crotch area is. The point for blurring is pretty obvious.

I'm amazed you guys even noticed. kudos on observation lol.

She's naked for like 1/2 the entire movie, yet they blurred a tiny bit of bush.

Something to keep your eyes out for. In the early 1980s, when cable was new to the masses, a version of "Carnal Knowledge" was being run that is different from what we see now. The scene where Ann Margaret hits up Jack Nicholson about turning their relationship into a live together "shack up" was shown with Ann Margaret topless. Now it's shown cropped to graininess so the boobs don't show. But in the original it's a long topless scene.

The dvd I had taken these from had a wide and 4x3 on flip sides of the disk.
Unlike hammer films, this does show more on the sides of the wide.
