Q.
Canning projects is nothing new in defence procurement, famously the TSR2 project was canned by the Wilson Government in the 60s. Yet everyone involved rated it as the best thing since sliced bread.

MOD proccurement people are the best in the World, especially if you are a seller, they tell you that yours is the only product being considered, Apache, and let you write cancellation clauses that are more expensive than actually buying the product. QE Class Aircraft Carriers.

Now that has got to be a conspiracy!

I think one of the problems here is that we're both trying to figure out how politicians think, using logic and reason!!

Not a good idea!!!

However, vainly struggling on with "Squigg logic", I'd have thought that if a bunch of politicians wanted to fabricate a justification for the likes of the F-22 and F-35, they'd have simply "sexed up" the threat from a country which is known to be developing more modern aircraft, rather than claiming they needed them to counter terrorists. After all, you don't really need stealth and supercruise to combat a hijacked passenger plane, and steps have already been taken to minimise that threat.

- Moon landing

- Holocaust
- 9/11

Holocaust would have to be a 10. It happened and it was terrible.

Moon landing is a 9.5. Radio signals from the moon? How can you fake that?

Kennedy scores about a 2 on my scale. No way Oswald was all alone on that...

9/11 is somewhere in the middle.

Perhaps some or all of what you say did happen, but it just doesn't pass the smell test. In times like this, my wise accounting prof used to say "Follow the money trail"

Sure - ok, all the planes hit and buildings fell, as is presented. Did Al Q do this, all on their lonesome? Not so sure.

Who would stand to profit most from all of this?

Well - seems to me that common sense would dictate that to stop terrorists you really need to beef up the intelligence and police community. Aircraft carriers, subs, fighter jet et al. can do squat against a similar attack.

What happened?

The intel was made to fit the mission - the US got involved in a couple wars, for over a decade now. Another oil rich country is part of the axis of evil (the same one who kicked out the US's chosen dictator).

Oh - and we now have the F-22 Raptor, Virginia class subs, 3 new aircraft carriers in the pipeline and the F-35 boondoggle on the horizon (to mention a few programs).

Just a little too convenient, no?

As my Italian friends would tell me, "I'm not saying - but, you know, I'm just saying..."

Anyone ever see the movie "Lucky Number Slevin"? Something called the Kansas City Shuffle...
moon landing 9.5 ? what ? first , in the photos The angle and color of shadows are inconsistent. This suggests that artificial lights were used. second - identical backgrounds in photos which, according to their captions, were taken miles apart , third - The astronauts could not have survived the trip because of exposure to radiation from the Van Allen radiation belt and galactic ambient radiation. and the waving flag . last i herd there is no wind on the moon ( maybe im wrong cause i havent been there )

I'm baffled.

If you think that the astronauts couldn't have gone through the Van Allen belts, why have you posted a link to the Wiki page which says they did?

Most scientists?

What about all the scientists who were working on the Soviet manned lunar landing project in the 60's? What about all the scientists in Russia, Europe, China, India and Japan who're working on future manned missions to the moon? What about all the scientists who're working on plans for manned missions to Mars? What about James Van Allen himself?

they were paid good money to think so . the fact of the matter is that they were no moon landing since . why didnt mighty soviet russia sent a moon landing mission ? or why didnt it happen later ? one would think that one has a lot to earn from landing on the moon .... simple answer - cause no one can !
