Never uploaded vid before - is there a preferred one to use where it isn't required to register and log in?
I just looked at Rapidshare, and that isn't one.

But the links can die quick if they aren't accessed - 60-90 days is what the site says. I guess you can them alive by accessing them yourself - probably saves more time than re-upping |

It looks good for the moment, but all links die sooner or later - depend on it. Sounds sad, but it's true. I put about 2 GB on 1fichier yesterday and today, and have no illusions the links will still be alive in a year, or even if 1fichier will be alive. It will be probably necessary to upload the files someplace else
However, there are some exceptionally well-informed people on the forum, and it's not hard to recognize them. So this is the right place to read. That's why I do it |

Filehosts are for short - and if your lucky - medium term sharing.
especially for free users Long term storage they are not - Mediafire even state the part about storage in their terms and conditions I can count the number of long term hosts that have been used on forums and are relatively reliable that are still alive and usable from 5-7 years ago on 1 hand off the top of my head. If you want to reduce the risk then stating the obvious Using more than 1 filehost and keeping your accounts from getting excessively large would be a step in the right direction Given the larger the file your trying to upload equates with reduced choice of hosts to use one might think a move to offering standalone scene links as well as the full 1 click option a good way of potentially reducing the bandwidth usage given some only collect just certain performers scenes. All up to the individual One soution will never fit everyones needs Last edited by buttsie; December 7th, 2013 at 12:15 AM.. Reason: adding comment |

upload a file, it doesn't matter if you chose the public's opinion on which is the most awful file host, or the one that folks slobber all over with glee, because there's never been a file host that I'm aware of, that kept an anonymously uploaded file on it's servers more than 10 days to 2 weeks, at the very most. If you're wanting to remain anonymous, create a bogus email address somewhere, and use that to register with at the file host of your choice. Your file will then last at least 30 days, from the time of it's last download most likely. |
