I had a bad band experience too.I was in High School and we were playing an outdoor gig at a local quarry.My girlfriend was just behind my amp fooling around with her fingernails.
We were in the middle of a KISS song, and I thought it would be cool to blow fire, ala Gene Simmons.I grabbed her nail polish remover and began pouring it into my mouth (had to be quick, it was mid song)

By the time I felt the searing pain, I had a big mouth full.It dropped me to my knees-song over.It was as bad as any pain I've ever felt.Nose pouring, coughing and vomiting, and struggling for breath, all in front of a couple hundred people staring at me
