Question about status of forum members and associated rights

Yes yes, secret ring, visits of two blonde models by my choice a day, rest of boredom for ordinary members... I am, but since these days everyone have one it's simple became too ordinary for me.

You see it when you log off - private areas which non-members cant see
The obvious one is an entire section which doesnt appear because of VEFs nature.

I dont doubt that their are hidden areas on any forum away from the public and its members - Moderators & Adminstrators talk in private some where - PMS & Email wouldnt exactly be useful for overall consensus on issues

Its always been a perception from even new members there was something hidden
that dates way back to when I joined an probably before 2007

The first was the 100 post mark - many had it as the secret key to untold content

As they found out after posting all manner of forgettable one liners in general discussion
you get what you deserve - they reached 100 posts and got SENIOR added to their title

Best to forget the idea of secret treasure because from 2012 - 2014 when Megaupload went down , Rapidshare & Mediafire deleted on mass /closed numerous large account
and all manner of cash whore hosts went missing

Imagerhosts like the widely used imagevenue only guarantee pics for 12 months and after that its about them being active enough otherwise their removed - closed sections with very little traffic wont be keeping them alive for long.

- what once was would now be a cemetery

Far smarter to look towards request threads and getting to know other members

Setting up a social club for particular interests could easily put you in contact with those that have saved - now dead content rather than waiting on an upgrade that may never come nor be worth it when it arrives

I'll leave you with this fact...in our midst is a very humble eccentric guy who has the biggest porn collection 80-90s porn on dvd in Western Europe...

As much as I say VEF is NO 1 common sense says spread your wings for info
Just looking at different banned site lists of numerous forums tells me you will find stuff
on others that isnt allowed here

Plenty of those who post here do so in Planet suzys vintage area
- maybe a secret area to some - i've found more than few magazine issues not here

The information that comes from guys like JJ & Len on Egafd is worth reading as it shows all too many data bases are short on info as well as giving insights into industry practices
- not always easy reading but its usually factual

Actually way back in ancient times when this place was a lot smaller there was a separate Senior Member's Forum. It was listed on the home page like every other section but access was restricted. It was provided as a perk for those members who had somehow managed to make a whopping 100 posts. The idea was to post your best stuff in there but it was really counter-productive for attracting new members so it was abandoned long ago.

I believe there's a thread where the mods can let off steam - presumably they spend their time swearing at the ordinary members there. But what happens when such a member is elevated to modliness, I wonder? Does someone have to go through that thread and remove any embarrassing references to that person before they see them?

If there was indeed a thread where the mods spend their time swearing at ordinary members, I would think there would be objections raised if a subject of that imagined swearing was proposed for a staff position.... wouldn't you ???

Even though forums such as this are by their very nature a "dictatorship" because of the need to keep order, there are certain things that happen here which require a democratic process to complete

Being a Mod does require a thick skin and some maturity. Enough that one should be able to take some uncomplimentary observations about one's self. So reading the candid commentary from one's new co-workers could be considered On The Job Training.
