My pet peeve: Actresses who won't do nudity.

I remember watching modern problems with chevy chase. He has mental powers after getting toxic waste dumped onto his car. There was a scene where he was fucking his girl wildly with his power and while in the throes of passion the sheet came down exposing her nipple and she casually reached down to pull it back up while supposedly having the best sex of her life...lol On a side note I believe actesses that agree to do nudity and then whine their way out of doing it is a reason to not watch whatever movie they are doing.

Jenifer Aniston did have them out, albeit briefly, in a sex scene in the film "The Good Girl" some years back. It was a fairly big deal at the time and was considered her best work as an actress. In the scene in question you can glimpse her nipples in the midst of the fake humping. Since it was a low budget film, I doubt they were willing to spend any extra money on CGI just to hide her tits for a few seconds!

No, they just turned all the lights out. The only way to see anything in that scene is to turn the brightness up so high you get a sunburn from your monitor.

A sex scene with a sheet that looked deliberately placed and shaped to hide her arse and a bra on throughout the whole event.

This! Don't care to see your granny boobs, sagging skin and spider-veins. (said sarcastically) You know their only doing it to ironically rejuvenate an aging career.

And yeah it's fine, I'm not body shaming. No shame in showing your body, but don't expect us pervs to care at that point in time. Sexual prime is long gone.

To that point, the frustration for me is the continued stigma society as a whole has about our bodies and sexual behavior in general. If we learned one thing since the internet people want to celebrate and flaunt their bodies and express their sexuality. Now if you get caught doing it, it's used to shame you or get you fired from your job.

It is annoying when a celeb poses, evidently nude, but without showing any of the goods. Guilty of such posing are, for example, Felicity Kendall and Bonnie Langford.

Just sat through a pathetic 2 hour borefest in the hope of finally seeing some quality nudity from the lead actress (Emma Rigby). There are a number of supposed sex scenes, and topless photoshoot scene, and an extended outdoor scene where her character is supposedly naked. Yet she delivers nothing. The defining moment was probably when the man she loves returns, after she thinks she'd lost him forever, and they start kissing (I'm sure it was supposed to be passionate but they failed miserably). He pushed her against the wall of the shower where the have sex and she is clearly using one hand to hold her towel up over her breasts. Suspension of disbelief just dies in that moment. Her character is meant to be making mad, passionate love, and she's too concerned about a nip slip to even use both hands. I blame the director for the poor framing, but it sums up how completely wrong this actress was for the role.

Never saw this movie, but as to the question, who to blame for lame nude/love scenes? Is it the director's fault, or the fault of the actress for making them look so phony?

The absolute worst is when you have a beautiful actress, supposedly alone in her apartment or wherever, and she's in the shower, and she's getting out of the shower, covering herself all the while, and making a mad dash for the nearest towel to get it around her as quickly as possible, I guess before the cat sees her naked.

Most directors, I think, are not going to insist that she slowly step out of the shower and parade around a bit before slipping something on, especially in this day and age. If that actress has the right assets, then it's going to be up to her to insist on displaying those assets.
