It's unfortunate that the shaving craze doesn't just affect young people. The young, I can understand, boys are seeing their first naked women on the internet and they're bald and it dictates their sexual tastes for the rest of their lives.

But what about older women? How come so many mature women are shaving these days? Something that hasn't been stated as contributing to the demise of female bodyhair in general is the improvement in razor technology. If you watch early 70's loops, notice that when the girls don't have swimsuit tanlines, the also often have hairy pits and/or untrimmed pussies (hair out on the legs, outside the regular triangle). But when its swimsuit season, they are trimmed shorter and that which would be outside the suit is trimmed back. So back when razors were a single straight blade, why shave when its not the season to be showing your body at all?

So thats my theory: the improvement in razor technology so that nicks and cuts were no longer to be expected every time she shaved contributed to females' decision to reduce their body hair.
