I added imgding to my Chrome browser and it is really fast.

just published version 0.0.11:

- 'clear' now removes items also from the Browsers download queue. The downloaded files are not deleted.
- The mime type of downloaded images is not checked anymore. The check had caused wrong error messages when a redirect occurred and everything was alright. This especially happened with imagevenue.
- the UI is a bit nicer

For Firefox it is already available.
The chrome version is now also available.

I moved the project to gitlab:

and released a new version, which fixes two things:

#3 Firefox/Chromium: After opening a new browser window the links are collected from the old browser window in the background. Now the tab of the active window is used
#1 Download fail detection improved. Firefox (not Chrome) sometimes downloaded missing images from imagebam as small html files. Now all downloads smaller than 1KB are considered as failed.

The new version is available in the mozilla addon store, chrome web store is following.

If you already have installed the extension it should be updated automagically by the browser in the next days.

retry button to retry failed downloads. If downloads fail because of a temporary problem a retry might be successful
a small progress bar.

Tip: Open one image link in the browser before clicking on "Ding!". This ensures that cookies necessary to access the images are set.

I just tried this and it worked like a charm, and amazingly fast as well, a great addition.

A quick check shows it works on a variety of image hosts.....

ImageBam
ImageVenue
PixHost
Pimp&Host
Turboimage
ImgBox

The only one I have tried that it did not work on was ImageTwist.

I have published the new version 0.0.16 to mozilla and chrome web stores.

This version introduces a limit of 5 concurrent downloads. This improves handling if many links are found on a page, e.g. several hundreds.

I know this was already incorporated previously, by I really like the "Retry failed" button. It worked and pulled every single failed image from imagebam, when they failed at first attempt. I have noticed that in case of 8-10 failed images multiple trials is needed.
