I have never liked him much, not even when he was merely a businessman. He has very bad karma.

it is brought up all the time what do you think the Civil War within the Democratic party is all about?

If you're donating money to both parties and campaigns by definition you are an Insider it does not matter what side you claim, and as a matter of fact you are the very problem that everybody is trying to get rid of in the political process.

I wish I could believe you were kidding.

Trump never mattered to the Democratic Party. It was well known that he gave money to both parties, and was loyal to neither. He wasn't a blip on either party's radar, because he has always been a flake.

Clinton and Obama both used him in their runs saying they had his support. The point I'm making is he was a Democrat and the left see's nothing wrong with anyone as long as their a Democrat as long as that Democrat is willing to tow the line.He no longer tow's their line and all of a sudden he's the worst thing you've ever seen.I don't give a damn what he is or what he was as long as the economy keeps improving more power to him.It sure as hell didn't improve much with the guy before him.Civil war in the Democrat party is a joke,it's just one big circle jerk from what I see,one comes up with an idea and every one of them falls right in line behind them more or less word for word.

Exactly and you've just described the essence of your political system. Billionaires like Trump don't have to be loyal to the Democrats or Republicans because those parties are loyal to them as their donors and certainly not their voters. Wall Street, the arms industry, oil industry etc.... that's who your politicians, liberals and conservatives, are loyal to.

The only difference now is that one of those donors sits in the White House.

Considerably less; he's a stumbling buffoon who has managed to lose a personal fortune and has only a passing grasp of the real world outside of what goes on between his ears. Is he really the best statesman that the Republican Party can find? He talks incessantly, says nothing and achieves less. I wonder who is really pulling the strings?

Seriously? What was the state of the world in January 2009 when President Obama was inaugurated? Compare that with the state of the world in January 2017, when President Trump was inaugurated? No improvement in the economy? You're having a giraffe, Brk549.

If I were a citizen of the USA I would be displeased that my country had offered to me a choice between Mr Trump and Hillary Clinton. I do note that the Democrat side has not yet seen fit to admit that they chose one of the worst candidates in living memory in Mrs Clinton. But Mr Trump is not an improvement.

Never mind. This too shall pass.

Change the parties mentioned here and it sounds like you're talking about Obama.

Where you are right is you making a distinction between the left and the Democratic Party where I have to correct you is where you say both of them being on board with big donors coming on board because the left nose as long as the big donors are on board they're going to be pushed out as far as agenda goes. There's a reason why some of the left will say "any blue won't do." Remember in these times the electorate is polarizing so trying to play in the middle it's just not "pragmatic"

1. For the vast majority of people the economy has not improved under neither Trump nor Obama. The reason that the media says that it has is they keep on using the stock market as a barometer and if you have been following these things you realize that the vast majority of the public is not invested in the stock market because a lot of people had to use their 401k money to survive the recession. 2. Believe what you want about the Civil War all I'm going to tell you is this if they cannot turn out enough voters to beat the most unpopular presidential candidate in history that should tell you right there something is not quite right in Paradise ...
