The WYSIWYG editor is buggy in this version of VB. It can cause all sorts of issues and mostly they are intermittent and come and go.
I, myself, don't use it on a regular basis for posting and editing, I just switch back and forth when I need to.

I've noticed that too in Firefox. Even if I create a thread, when clicking the preview button there are sometimes extra lines which I did not create initially.
It might look normal at first, but with some heavy editing (like copy / paste multiple times, extensive usage of backspace or enter buttons), there likely will be extra lines that I did not create.

Perhaps it's worth asking as a separate thread, but I have noticed that sometimes hitting the preview button in Firefox completely erases my post in editor. It's visible as a preview and can be posted, but it's not in the editor anymore. Very strange bug. It's difficult to replicate, it's not always there, but it happened today for example.
Overall, it really feels that Chrome and Firefox are handling forum editors / engines very differently. I like how FF shows fonts for example much better that Chrome, but FF can be buggy.

I think i sometimes had that too (now and then, not too often). It would be the same for quoting a message and then seeing a blank text box without the quote. I always figured it was VEF stuttering at those times. |

Yes, I would say it has something to do with inserting quotes and possibly pasting text from an external source / files in it's original font and color. Then Firefox might become buggy.

That sounds like a bug I first noticed long ago, unrelated to this spacing issue. I found that if a post contained an unusual character that it would post fine but upon editing or trying to quote the post it would be blank. Just came across this again the other day when a user mentioned the name "Françoise". When I tried to use the quote function their post came up blank, Because of the "ç" in "Françoise". I found that other accents over letters cause it too. First came across this when I used a Navajo greeting in a Frances O'Connor post, trying to edit it after posting & it comes up blank. A nuisance when wanting to edit such posts. The way around it is to hold Left mouse button down & copy your post (complete with pictures) then go into Edit mode & paste the post back in. The pictures will paste back in as fully functioning thumbs just as before. Simple fix at least so not a big deal, once you're aware. Just checked & it also happens with Internet Explorer so we can't blame Firefox for this one. EDIT: As expected, using ç has triggered the bug. When editing or Quoting this post it will be blank. I have just tried to "reply with quote" to your last post (16) and Firefox has this bug (empty editor), but Chrome works just as expected, even with accented ç letter.

I have just tried the same with Internet Explorer 11 and it has the same bug (empty editor) as FF.
