I think it is appropriate to pay tribute To all human beings who gave their lives, for trying to quell in vain the enormous disaster of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
RIP.

I would rather pay tribute to the brave Ukrainian emergency personnel who went to the plant and paid for the arrogance of the Russian scientists with their lives.

These are not in conflict. The vast majority of the clean up was done by soldiers both Ukrainian & Russian (the Bo-robots as they were called)

And scientist sacrificed plenty in the clean up as well. There was a documentary where members of the team in charge of exploring the sarcophagus & keeping the core stable admitted they basically ignore their personal radiation dosage badges because the work must continue. 1 of them broke down in tears recounting Legasov's suicide & how many of the team had died from radiation induced heart issues just in the first decade after the explosion alone.

At no time have I wanted to politicize any side.
The fair thing would be... To all the human beings who gave their lives....

a new YT-Docu by Kyle Hill, this time about Fukushima, on the recent issue of Japan releasing radioactive water back into the sea.
