Suspendered in time

Suspenders (or garters in some regions of our planet) have always held an intense fascination for me. I'm still not totally sure why it's so alluring as an item of clothing!
I return to the early-mid 90s for some suspendered in time memories. The internet is awash with lingerie images these days...but it's always a warm feeling to return to a pre-internet era when discovering a delicious suspender belt example was a more rare experience.

I've always been very particular about why I like such items...how high it's worn...it's exact shape and material...how tight the suspender straps are against bum and thighs.

The lust is endless. I'd love to see other cherished memories.

I don't have any very clear memories of where my enthusiasm for suspenders began.

I think it was probably in my teens, when 1970s girlie magazines were being passed round at school. I certainly remember looking at pictures of girls in suspenders in a mag on one school coach trip.

Back in the 70s, there were also quite regular sights of girls in suspenders on TV. As well as in 'light entertainment', like the Benny Hill Show, a girl showing stocking tops and suspenders seemed to be pretty much de rigueur in any more serious suggestion of sexual activity.

So by the time I went to uni, I was pretty much hooked. Stockings, suspenders and high stilettos, ideally all black (though I can handle other colours as well), were what I was after.

I remember at uni, one overseas girl student being shown a suspender belt - she seemed not to have seen one before - and being told by another girl, who clearly was very familiar, that it was "supposed to hold your stockings up but is really for sexual titillation." Yep, that's about it!

I bought girlie mags on and off for the next 20 years, and really only gave up buying them in the mid-90s, when for some reason, far fewer girls seemed to be photographed in suspenders. My £2.50, or whatever Men Only was costing then, suddenly seemed less good value!

This is where it started for me, Glynis Barber in the BBC series 'Jane'. I remember I suddenly became aware that the erections the programme was giving me were as much to do with the stockings and suspenders as with the leg-flesh on display.

I adore stockings and suspenders, have done since I was a kid.

One of the first instances I saw them on a woman in real life was, funnily enough, on a nurse, outside a hospital. I think they were protesting about something (nothing changes) and this fairly attractive brunette nurse in her twenties got on to a bed they had there (outside) as part of the protest. And I got a terrific view up her skirt, and there they were - glorious stockings and suspenders. Yummy.
