Reusing imagehost links from outside?

I'm in doubt about the following:

The rules say "copying and reposting someone else's post(s)/upload(s)" is not allowed. Of course, within the same thread. And also in another thread within the VEF (in this case i would post only a link to that post).

But what's about imagehost links i found anywhere outside the VEF? Is it allowed to reuse them here (giving thanks to the uploader)? Or must i download the images and reupload them to (another) imagehost to get "my own" links (and waste space on hosters servers)?


Sorry if this question has been asked before, i have looked around, but i found nothing (maybe because my limited english knowledge ). I'm asking, because i want to avoid trouble.

You cannot reuse someone else's links here and just give credit. You must rehost the pictures yourself. The hosts have plenty of space available so you're not wasting their space.
