Vintage mag covers (super merged)

I started this thread so that members can post and discuss magazine covers which have appealed to them over the years. Let's face it, the publishers design the cover to attract the attention of the buying public and when we are talking about top shelf magazines or male orientated magazines, we are talking about all the things members of this forum are interested in; beautiful women, poses, female curvy bits and clothing, plus that little something else which makes the cover stand out from the rest.

I thought I would start the thread off with Pl*yb*y covers, as it is the magazine which I bought the most copies of over the longest period of time. I have stopped at 1995 to comply with the vintage theme. I would love to see what everyone else finds eye catching and find out why. Here goes, they are in chronological order as it would be too hard to put them into ranked order.

1) Beautiful model in a beautiful state of undress artistically altered to resemble the impressionist original background. I also am fascinated by the covers with bare breasts on them. Nostalgia for a time when it was allowed, perhaps.
2) The first PB I bought and one of the first nudie books I bought. I remember it distinctly and the cover was a major factor in my choice. The simple plain background, the sculptured face and signature long hair of the model sold me on it.
3) Do I have to spell it out, Beautiful woman, uniform, stockings?
4) I was never a huge fan of Marianne Gravatte's, but always been a fan of classy lingerie. The soft colours complete the image.
5) Similar to before. Beautiful woman in uniform. Ok so it is just a head shot, but sometimes less is more.
6) I like the wet hair look and the hint of nipple under the water.
7) I loved Who Framed Roger Rabbit and not just for Jessica, although she certainly played a part.
8) Kata is one of my favourite pl@ym@tes. Her black hair and the black background highlight her light skin. Her eyes are dazzling and the gloves add a sexy finishing touch.
9) Possibly one of the last girl next door type PMs, let alone PMOYs. Overall, I think it is the bra and cleavage surrounded by virginal white which draws me to this.
10) Isn't this every man's wish? A tropical island, a clear blue sky, azure water, fine white sand and a beautiful woman looking over her shoulder invitingly just showing enough.
11) I think its back to the cleavage and the stockings, but the bold colour is what draws me to it. The nipped waist does no harm either.

M*yfa*r didn't have as big a budget for cover photos as Pl*yb*y and often used a picture from a photo set inside for the cover, so most of the M*yfa*r covers I like are due to the girl, the pose or the clothing.
Apologies for the quality of some of the images, but I had to grab them from wherever I could. Respect to the original posters where due.

1) One of the first nude books I bought. I chose it for the cover. A nice girl in profile in nice scenery, plus she's showing her tits.
2) Knew of Francis Voy from the tabloids, but never realised how big she was until I saw this profile shot. Nice subdued colour scheme and great modelling from Francis. This was also the first time I saw a known face in a top shelfer.
3) Very Benny Hill or Carrie-esque. Who wouldn't want to be that Santa.
4) Similar set to number 2. Great pose, clothing and model.
5) One of my all time favourites. The wet look, a beautiful girl and clothing and a super pose.
6) Come on, Carolyn Evans in a tight pair of silver shorts. Enough said.
7) Love the girl and yellow always looks good to me, not to mention stockings and a suspender belt.
8) This is what nudist beaches should be like.
9) I've always liked images of girls trying, unsuccessfully, trying to cover their breasts and this is one of the best.
10) What a pose, what a woman. The flouncy, lacy clothing tops off a great shot.
11) I think this girl is amazing. Add a great pose and hair style and it does it for me.
12) Debbie Boyland in a see through body suit clinging to all of her curves is an amazing sight.
13) Soaked lightweight material moulded to a great pair. Whao.
14) Claire Scott from Grange Hill on the cover of M*yfa*r in a black basque. What's not to like.
15)Bouys, bouys, bouys, but enough of Sabrina's tits. Nice green coloured, wet body suit just about showing it all.

There are so many more I like and could have selected fromthoughout the years. But, 1983 was a good year, starting with the twins in January and ending with Joan Collins in December with great cleavage and bust shots and string bikinis in between.

Was never a big fan of Knave and only bought it when the cover caught my eye and this one certainly did. Claire Green, what a babe.


Particularly like the 3rd one and I've always had a thing about yellow bikinis.
