Well just like the old No.11 bus they seem to have all turned up at once.

I found these in yet another old copy of Parade from 1968.

Photo almost certainly taken by Ken Howard. I recognise the fireplace from dozens of S & S pics that he took!

Hello Medium2

Could you possibly give us some info about Ken Howard, e.g. where he was based, who he photographed, is he still working? etc.

Just a brief outline would be good and I for one would be very interested.

Ken Howard was (and probably still is) based in Bournemouth and did a lot of work for Toco from the late 1960's right up until the mags stopped with the October 1976 issues. Models he photographed included the above Liz Harvey, plus Laura St John, Nicola Taylor, Marie Graham, Pauline Gorvin, Marilyn Ward and several others. In the 70's virtually every issue contained something by him. And lots of pics of the fireplace, which, presumably, was in his his front room!

I would imagine a few phone calls around the Bournemoth studios would track him down. Or maybe someone on here has details?

When you see all these pics from 30 and 40 years ago, it makes you wonder what the girls are like and now and what they are doing. Anyone ever had any contact with a Spick/Span model?

Aout 20 years ago I had a phone conversation with "Laura St John" and she was very nice. Told me that her husband of the time didn't approve of what she was doing but she did it anyway! Good for her! At the time I spoke to her she was still doing a few bits of fashion modelling. Wonder what she's up to now?

Anyone spoken to or met anyone else?
