I apologise for swearing. But I am entitled to my opinions on the royal family. I do not wish to offend anyone. As a forum we should have freedom of expression. I admit I was wrong to swear, sorry.

Senior royalty has died on the front line. But a long time ago. I suppose we should just draw a line under this. I come from a different background and I do not want to offend anyone.

Well, like I said earlier, I don't want to insult anyone's culture, Britan's been around a lot longer than America. I just wondered how they decided who was royal and who wasn't.
BTW, I don't believe it, but according to Ancestry.com, one branch of my family was descended from either King John or James the IV, can't remember which. We traced them all the way back to 1300's Yorkshire to when they left for AMerica in the mid 1600's.
