I understand that is is such an offence in the UK...

I can't find a reference but I recall a couple of years ago reading that someone had been prosecuted for driving without due care as a result of being stopped for have too loud a sound system in his car.

As for the emergency service sirens issue....
As someone who has been behind the wheel, sirens blaring, blue lights flashing on a full emergency run in a fifteen ton, bright red machine far too many times to remember, the main problem are those drivers who try to outrun us like rabbits in headlights. They dodge left, they dodge right and then get flustered and slam on the brakes. Trust me, many roadusers don't have a clue!

There, that's my gripe today Ain't showered, can't be bothered since Mrs E will be back on Friday and I can be a slob So all I used was that but now need a shower ..... fucked me up and my non routine today

Me and shaving, is irritating me. My missus is always telling me to shave every day, because she prefers it, and coz it's less effort in the long run, but frequently I ignore her advice. Like today, where I've had to shave, and for some reason I always forget that hacking at your face with a bit of sharp metal to remove a few day's worth of beard is about as much fun as sandpapering your balls.

I used to shave after showering, but then I'd get little bits of stubble left stuck to my neck etc, so now I tend to shave before.

I have quite a heavy beard, but I have a mate with a beard that is even heavier than mine, and he shaves without anything except the razor. No foam, no water, nothing. He just scrapes at his face. I've no idea how he manages it, and how his face isn't completely red raw.
