As a long time Vida fan, I've always wondered which magazines her two hardcore sets were drawn from (I know they were shot by Ulf Stjernbo and bits and pieces come from softcore British mags as well as Giffer) and that it's a shame that they haven't re-emerged in the age of high-res scans. Plus, even though it seems unlikely at this stage, did any video footage emerge from these sessions? A pic of the set with the long blonde hair was used on the back of "Swedish Gold 3" which indicates that they may have been shot on video (and a lot of the Ulf stuff in general was simultaneously caught on video) but then again, truth in advertising has never been porn's strong point...

Can anyone shed any light on this or know how to obtain these elusive mags/vids/pics?

BTW I am not referring to anything involving "Surprise Aerienne" - a wasted opportunity if there ever was one...

Seeing these photos made me wonder again whether Vida's twin sister ever did any work in the business. It would have been a real hoot to see the two of them posing together.

Vida has a twin? Then she's the Vida Garman born in 1961 and knocked five years off her age for her porn career.

I've never heard of any twin either.

On the subject of 1961 and the five years question, back in the more "innocent" days of the internet we all used "Usenet Newsgroups".
Back then models, pornstars, fans and anybody else all got involved and exchanged information. There were no lies, no ego, no marketing, no data collection by third parties.

In the newsgroup alt.fan.tvx:
July 2000, user Deacon Brodie provided Vida's birthday which he quoted from a model register form that she sent to a camera club and which was signed on 16 January 1988.

August 2000, user Steve Stone within the same thread gave her then current age and stated that he knew because she used to be his girlfriend.

Based on the dates that I have not provided from both of those posts and many other posts within Usenet I think that a good rule of thumb is that if you find numerous birth dates for the same girl then the oldest age is most likely to be correct.

To the best of my knowledge (limited, of course, I'm not ashamed to admit I'm an idiot - most people are!) this was her first pro shoot (and the finest ever IMBSO,.. and searching for it was the very reason I joined VEF in the first place!) published in Club UK October '87. Re age, I guess judge from that.

Also, these 12 pictures couldn't have been the sum total of pictures taken at the time, surely..? Tonnes of shoots which appeared, variously, in part, in British softcore mags in the era had other, additional, pics which turned up elsewhere across Europe, in other publications..., was there really no more than this? ... Anyone know Nikki Downey?.. & where she kept her old film rolls..

... so, mate, that video, er, y'know...?!

I concur with her first published pictorial being as Lucy in the October 1987 issue of Club International (UK).

I doubt that Nikki Downey/Felicity Stewart was "actually" the photographer.
Electric Blue videos went down the path of models as photographers and I never believed them.

I wondered if anyone would pick up on the Mars Bar

I have a lot of video tape which I am transferring to a more up to date media. I anticipate that it will take me several years to complete the task. As I transfer it then if the content is not on VEF I post it. The Vida video has been moved from my archive into the transfer pile, so maybe sometime this year ...

In fairness I never really believed that part either, just a reflection of what they thought was the kink of the day I guess (- the idea of girls taking pics of girls is a heck of a lot 'healthier' though, I'd say, than a lot of stuff )
