Evercookies

Can anyone tell me anything about them particularly how to get rid. I know ccleaner doesn't and i've seen a claim that adwarecleaner does but in my experience that's not the case.

I am not sure if they are still effective and in use today:

• Nobody uses Java in the browser anymore
• Very few use Flash
• Most ad blockers should block the scripts
• There are other techniques out there to identify users without any cookies, e.g browser fingerprinting.

How do you know that you have one?
This might give a hint where it is stored and how to remove.

thanks, i don't think I have. My friend is convinced he has one and I said i'd try to find out about them as a couple of hours ago i'd never heard of them.
