Like that, in about 120 ~ 140 years, nobody will be annoyed anymore.

While i agree there are too many humans walking on earth i don't think extinction is the best solution (even if that would solve most of our annoyances, after all 'hell is other people'. But solitude doesn't sound like heaven either)

Also i really wouldn't wanna be the guy who has to sterilize a few billion males

We have some lesbians here in Oakland who would cheerfully take on that project.

Wink

The stupidity of computer solutions

My dirt cheap windows 7 tower (AUS99-00) suddenly starts turning itself on off twice followed by the fan going non-stop but no sign of booting - screen goes into power saver mode remains dark

After a spring clean to remove build of dust from the front vent - no improvement

The solution that worked - turn it on its side - press the power button straight away
Double stop start and fan are gone

If the TVs on the blink - try it on its side

I'm thinking perhaps that it could be multiple bikers injured because sometimes they ride in pairs or in threes side by side.

That particular bike crossing is located somewhat near the beginning of the bike path and happens to be the first street crossing (of many) where bikers are required to stop. For whatever reasons bikers are not heeding and/or are oblivious to the stop.
The update to my above post is sadly a 6 year old out-of-State boy was struck and killed on his bicycle by a 21 year old out-of-State female at that bike crossing. The news report did not mention if the little boy was riding with adults or not.

The accident is under investigation, but I would venture to guess that the little boy either did not stop or did not look both ways before proceeding/crossing across the street.

That particular bike crossing has always been a hazard, and has had a number of near misses and minor "bruises and scratches" type collisions between bikers and motorists in the past, so one would think that would have been enough for authorities to act upon and monitor that crossing (and all others) more closely in search for a remedy.
This is the first fatality at that crossing that I am aware of -- maybe now this will be the wake up call needed for authorities to act!

Perhaps in addition to the Stop signs and the "Stop Ahead" painted on the pavement, maybe "roughing" up the pavement say about 10 yards before all crossings would make bikers more conscious that there is a crossing and stop ahead.

So that's why in the old days people gave their malfunctioning machines a good slap on the side

In a further update to this story it seems that the little boy was riding with his parents and two sisters, which adds more mystery to this tragic accident!
Are and should the parents be held responsible and negligent for lack and improper supervision?
In regard to the driver, thus far no charges have been issued against her, such as negligence, talking on a cell phone, excessive speed, or under the influence.

Hmm! That's odd. I truly cannot remember the last time I was in a rowdy pub.

They all seem to be family-friendly gastropubs around here now.

There would certainly be no problem with a lady feeding her baby in my local.

Your bars/pubs must be fit for royalty.

Here in my area after a few hours of drinking and some guy staring or coming on to some other guy's wife/girlfriend is enough to get the fists flying.

Even some women may occasionally duke it out over some woman staring at or giving the eye to her hubby/boyfriend.

Something sounds fishy. A neighbor of mine came back from a recent trip to London, and he said he hates going to the pubs, because there are nothing but brawls all the time. He said you have to get out of London and go to the pubs in the smaller towns. There you can get good beer and a good game of darts and friendly conversation with friendly people and they love Americans(because we always give good tips).
