Nah! The reason it's eyes are like that is because it polished off Estreeter's beer before turning it's attention to his pizza!

One of the problems I have with some of these dipsticks you see in documentaries is that they stand around with their brains disengaged and their thumbs up their backsides, and assume that as we would now use diamond blades and power tools to cut stones, and those weren't invented at the time, the Ancient Egyptians must have had help from aliens. It's bullsh*t! It's like suggesting that Einstein couldn't have done complex calculations because he didn't have a computer, or that the early explorers couldn't have discovered new lands and then navigated their way back to their home ports because they didn't have sat-nav! I've heard the same inane argument put forward to support the claim that man couldn't have landed on the moon. "Oh, but they only had very basic computers so it would have been impossible!" Yeah, right! Nothing was ever achieved in the thousands of years of human history before the invention of the modern computer! It's quite literally an insult to the intelligence! |

You must admit some of the construction is baffling. But man power was expendable. But if you watch the whole program there are some interesting facts. It goes too biblical at one point, but I enjoyed it. If aliens built the pyramids, why aren't they building us time machines, oh my ear piece says they are in area 51. I'm off to 1965 to see it in colour.

2. The missing tracks. I'd first of all like to say that I particularly like the last example where the tracks are clearly visible! The middle right photo is also a great example. The Rover is facing us, with the wheel pointing straight towards us, so where are the tracks supposed to be, if not behind the wheel? Bottom left shows the dust has clearly been churned up by the astronauts. Why should the tracks have magically survived? Middle left is the same scene in close-up. The astronauts spent some time repairing the wheelguard, hence the marching around and churning up the dust. Maybe these "flat earth" guys should try using a stick to write their name in the sand, then invest 10 minutes marching around over it. Mind you, maybe they'd still be unable to explain where the writing went! The apparent lack of tracks on the other photos is more difficult to explain, but a number of factors could quite easily influence how visible certain details appear. Depending on the actual consistency of a material, an object rolling across it can cause less of an impression than an object being "scuffed" into it, and it should also be borne in mind that the pressure exerted by each wheel of the Rover (if carrying one astronaut) would barely exceed that of an astronaut putting his weight on one foot. When driven at "speed" (maximum was 8mph!) the Rover would throw up dust which would then settle on the tracks it had just created. In the meantime, they "flat earth" boys seem to think that in order to take photos of the Rover in a studio, nobody would actually drive it into position (and we know it can be driven because we've seen film of it, regardless of where anyone thinks that film was taken!) ... and they certainly wouldn't push it into position. No, they hire a bleedin' crane! Gimme strength! 3. Now, the floating moon buggy! Quote: "This may support the idea that some scenes were created by lowering the rover down with a crane." There are two points here. i) How come there are tyre tracks behind the Rover? For a bunch who seem infatuated by tyre tracks, they're not very good at spotting tyre tracks! Then again, maybe they believe that someone created the tyre tracks using a wheelbarrow, and then, in order to avoid making tyre tracks, winched the Rover into place by crane? ii) In the first photo these same people posted in the bit about "Missing Tracks in the Lunar Dust", the Rover is parked on an uneven surface which results in the left rear wheel being off the ground. No cranes, no great mystery. Jut a vehicle with an effective weight of 35kg which wasn't enough to fully compress the suspension when it was parked on the p*ss! 4. And finally, the pièce de résistance! Quote: "If the equipment for an EVA with the LRV is stowed in this untouched bay, how could the rover leave tracks in the dust?" Em ... probably because that's NOT the Lunar Rover in the "untouched bay"! I just don't get it! They quote the actual mission photo reference number (AS-17-140-21370) but don't even bother to check the description of the photo! Quote: "AS17-140-21370 (OF300) Frame from Jack's EVA-3 pan. Up-Sun photo of the LM ladder, the hatch, the MESA to the left of the ladder, the LRV deployment hardware to the right, and the SEP pallet against the leftmost (north) strut. Note the jettison bags under the LM at the right edge of the frame." It's the MESA (Modularized Equipment Stowage Assembly) to the left of the ladder, and the LRV has already been removed from it's bay. Hence the tyre tracks! It's not difficult!! I really do wish these people would make some attempt to challenge their own theories by spending just a few minutes doing a little bit of research! I have e-mailed the flat earth society a couple of times asking them to show me proof of the ice wall. No reply. They claim that a large wall of ice around our lovely planet stops the sea over flowing The earth is no sphere dudes! well I have seen the curvature of the earth on aeroplanes. One thing I can't find is, why are all the moons and planets anybody can see with a telescope not flat.
But I knew Mr Squiggs would like taking a cyber sledgehammer to the post.

This is a mid-90s case of serial sexual abuse in Belgium, really sad. Sexual abuse stories are hard ones to call, because there are cases where the conspiracy theory has some validity (the Catholic Church in Ireland, for example) and others where teh conspiracy stories are false. In Dutroux, you have very serious allegations by a Judge on the case, but I can't say that I understand the facts well enough to say whether there's a cover up here or what. So far as I can see, though, Dutroux was a monster, and the police weren't particularly competent. I don't see an obvious factual basis for the assertion of conspiracy. I certainly buy that there are corrupt and incompetent officials, and Belgium has had its issues, but i don't believe that there's any complicity in Belgian elite circles with child murder. Dutroux was a sociopath, a monster, and those guys don't mingle well . . |
