Pixhost.org is now Pixhost.to (read thread) - Page 3

I changed the URLs on the Paris Hilton mobile wallpapers from .org to .to, and the images all came back. I used a dummy text file to copy in the BB code, change the text in question, and paste it back in.

This is a really tall order, needless to say...

Well, sorry to see all these updates might be needed.

Is there still a chance that pixhost.to might come back?
I don't know, but we have this pixhost.to workaround.

I was playing around with a couple of my old uploads, and found a nice trick you can use when you have a multi image set linked in a gallery.
Edit your old post to change the first image code from .org to .to (in 2 places)- then save that and you should see the one thumb.
Click on that thumb to open the full size image, then you can click on the gallery link, where the entire set will have the new image codes all set up.
Go to the forum thumbnail box and click on that (to copy all the codes), then you can paste the whole set at once in the old post

Please remember to click that create gallery box.

A temporary workaround could be adding this to your /etc/hosts:

HTML Code:

93.184.70.32    pixhost.to
93.184.70.32    t18.pixhost.to

On Windows it is somewhere like c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc
But as IP addresses change this is only temporary. We have DNS for a reason.

It will not work for all posts, because they also have multiple image hosts like img202.pixhost.to. But for this post it works:

Update: This seems to work only for thumbs on t18, so i removed aliases for t1 to t17.

This is odd - I've just tried Rubi's workaround and changed the first image code in one of my Men Only galleries from .org to .to and now it seems ALL of my Pixhost's scans are now visible even though the extension on them is still .org

It may be temporary, however.

Seems that pixhost has automatically switched all of the "old" .org URL´s towards .to meanwhile. I have noticed this while preparing edits of my posts who still carried the old .org location just 1 hour ago.

Hopefully, this may solve the problem. Let´s knock on woods!

EDIT:
Just an observation I have made: When hovering the mouse over the thumbs within the posts, the URL´s have indeed been correctly changed towards .to.

When you check your posts via UserCP (the last 500 posts-column), they still are .org´s.
Strange.

Looks like they have found a way to patch it for us.
Even thought the text in the posts still says .org, it now opens a .to address.

So hopefully we won't have to reload or edit all those image codes.

Meanwhile, Imagebam seem to be struggling right now.

Just tried .to, the pics seemed to upload, but the screen with the thumbnail links didn't appear. Will try again later.

AdBlockPlus causes pictures to not load on the new .to domain. I just found out about that.

I was told by tech that they are applying a fix to all forums to make existing pixhost.to pics load for the new domain. Members should be able to leave existing pics as is without editing once this takes effect.
