When behind a vehicle, the 2-second rule is good, IMHO, despite all the assholes who like to cut in front of you.
When passing, I use the rule "Don't cut back into the slow lane until you can see the entire front end of the vehicle you just passed in the rear-view mirror."

Wow! What a rain storm last night, the clatter in the roof was immensely loud. How I got to sleep is a mystery, but hopefully we've seen the back of this ridiculously hot weather in September.

I really believe it is about time that driving with a phone clamped to your ear or texting at the wheel should be a major criminal offence. Why is the government going to really crackdown on these lunatics men and women who do this and cause accidents and deaths due to their stupidity.

Interesting to see Liverpool City council want to ban The Sun completely from shops. Whereas I applaud the fact that The Sun is persona non grata for what they printed about Liverpool fans and the City, I cannot see banning a newspaper completely is clever or wise. They've tried to say sorry but that doesn't hold water In Liverpool so it will continue to be vilified but you are more likely to get away with wearing a Man Utd shirt openly in public then walking along holding a copy of the newspaper-of course god help you if you are stupid enough to do both.😀

Originally all,four of the Beatles had gongs but they sent them back. Ringo should have been honoured but what exactly has he done to deserve it? I am sure one day he will get one.

They've always been for sale - Lloyd George had a price list - so much for a knighthood , a lot more for a peerage etc
