) note, Leonardo DaVinci's Salvator Mundi (Savior of The World) depiction of Christ, just sold through Christie's Auction house for a record setting 450.3 million dollars.

Dr. Evil was unavailable for comment.

The painting shows Jesus holding an orb. Those of us that enjoy conspiracy theory, and play Assassin's Creed, may think of it as the "Apple of Eden".

Since the orb isn't refracting light (which Da Vinci would have known to be wrong), it's probaly not by him at all, but by Fred Smith down the street, painting in Da Vinci's style. Half the great paintings around the world are believed to be fakes.

Many classical masters developed perception disorders with increasing age. Often it was due to a poisoning by the colors used.

As a result, some works gained their unmistakable character. For example, Rembrandt's Night Watch or The Man with the Golden Helmet, which impress the viewer by their striking contrast.
