Hmm. Are saying that no-one should try to stop discrimination, whether it be motivated by racism, sexism, ablism or any other 'ism', we should all just put up with it and allow those with the money and power to treat us how they want?

Your original question dealt with expectations, not what is appropriate and I answered it as such.

My original question was about whether you think the white teacher should put up with the racially motivated discrimination against him by the students just because 'they pay his wages' and, in a different way, I then asked you the same question about whether you think black people should put with racially discriminatory behaviour from their bosses just because their bosses pay their wages.

Perhaps I should not have used the phrase"Would you expect black people..." but should have used the phrase "Do you think black people..."

What about the right-wing/neo-liberal rimjobs who actually own, run and control the country? What is their magnificent achievement? Manufacturing and funding the Mujahideen and Isis?!?!......

The difference is everyone knows that the right wing are intolerant tosspots, but the left wing claim to be tolerant but are becoming as intolerant as the right wing.

I think it's that hypocrisy that people are really commenting on.

Agreed. Used to be you knew where you stood, but now the left wing has been hijacked by awful wankers who bleat on about tolerance but have none for anyone who doesn't agree with them. It's the reason politics is so much more embittered and divisive now - there's always been hypocrisy but it's reached such inane levels that nobody sane feels adequately represented by anyone.

It's not a function of left, right, color, faith, gender or political party.
It's a function of human nature's unpleasant side. There are people of all political views and no political views that are mentally unhealthy and act irrationally.

I think what we are seeing is the inevitable consequence of a generation brought up in an era dominated by political correctness.

Thanks for the clarification. My thing is this. They have being this activity for about 40 years and during that time it was the non white students and faculty that had walked off campus during the event, so why is it that they are being racially discriminatory when they ask the white students and faculty to walk off this year? They were not asking anything that they did not ask everybody else to do already. Now one may call into question the reaction of the students, but to call them racially discriminatory is a bit of a strech.

Because when he sent an email saying he would not leave the campus he was accused of being racist. That is what led to him being shouted down in that video when he tried to explain his thinking. If I was asked to not go into work one day just so non-whites could attend the workplace I'd tell them to fuck off. Equally, if I asked any non-white workers to leave for a day so only whites could attend I'd fully expect to be told to fuck off. Historically non-whites apparently left campus for a day. A stupid idea in all honesty which only perpetuates their segregational ideas. But their choice
