As for the fact there are only 2 unshaven women, it's usual, even in softcore German movies from the beginning of the seventies.
I'm watching such movies for the moment and you have also 1 or 2 unshaven while there are 10 (sometimes up to 15) different naked women.
This is of course totally anachronistic, as almost all German women were unshaven at this time.
The situation is the same in mainstream movies, I've seen hundred of them from this period and hairy pits are hard to find.
Actually, Hollywood has always censored female body hair, thru the Hays Code and later, the MPAA.
I've found the following on the Net, a few years ago

I don't think one should look so far; shaving was extremely sexy and erotic in these times, first because it was unusual at the time and in no small part because it was "the American way" or even more "the Hollywood way"...

In "School Girl" (1971) hippie chick Debra Allen is unshaven as she researches a paper on sexual deviations, as below. Unfortunately, the only good footage of her pits is in the first scene when she does her teacher. Her other scenes offer only glimpses of her armpits. Still there is some serious bush scattered throughout in compensation, including a very nice girl/girl with Susan Davis. Quality is not very good.

According to IAFD, this is the only movie Debra made, but a reviewer writes she made her debut in "The Flesh Factory" (1971), where she is credited as Monica Small.

As to Luch's point, think that some German movie makers back in the '70s just wanted to make movies with as large a potential audience as possible, and so shaved the women to make them seem "glamorous" and appeal to the US market. Shame.

The original "Josephine Mutzenbacher" (1976) directed by Hans Billian with the great Patricia Rhomberg is no doubt well know to posters here. But he also directed a sequel in 1981 entitled "Aus dem Tagebuch de Josephine Mutzenbacher" (which translates as "From the Diary of Josephine Muztenbacher") and is also known as "Die heißen Nächte der Josephine Mutzenbacher." There have been additional sequels but this one features a few unshaven women, most notably Andrea Werdien, who plays the title role and who also has a large, untrimmed bush. She is seen below left and with Monika Zierer, a cute blonde who sports unshaven pits and bush, and furry thighs. Andrea made other movies so am also posting the link to her EGAFD page, but according to the same source, this is Monika's only film.

Well Patricia Rhomberg isn't shaved in the 1976 original and we should be thankful for that. BTW understand she was Hans Billian's lover -- lucky Hans.

But know what you mean. Doesn't matter whether they are ancient Romans, Tudors, or 18th Century French courtesans, when treated by mainstream porn they become tall, blonde, shaved, and ever since the late '80s filled with silicone. On the other hand, let's not forget that Billian lensed classics like "Das Haus der geheimen Lüste" that also took place in the early 20th Century Vienna and virtually all the women were unshaven. As the '80s wore on body hair (even for Billian and other German directors) became scarcer and scarcer until only the die hard natural types had pits. And now armpit hair is, unfortunately, largely considered the province of fetishists (of which happy to be one).

Hmm luch, I think you're a little fast in your judgement… AFAIK armpits shaving is not especially new, it happened to be cyclical through history and varying from one civilization to another... So shaving in Cleopatra's court is probably not so shocking from a historical point of view…

Yes I know but I can’t imagine that every single woman was always clean shaven, as we see in lot of movies. And shaving was more for “rich” people, to avoid confusion with “poor” people.

As stated by our moderator, Asian armpits are something of a Holy Grail, so here's one for the database.
