Top of the Rhondda Fawr
The place I still call home even after all these years.
Took a 45 minute drive to get here but it was worth it.
Apologies for the dark images, I set off quite early.

This hut is one of two either side of the mountain, built as shelters for men whose job was to report on the condition of the road (it was washed away during a storm in the 90's). This was discontinued before I was born but this particular hut was occupied by a succession of hermits and hippies until the council finally bricked it up a few years back.

My brother's getting married later this year so the missus wanted to buy a hat for the wedding. As you know, with 'them' it's never that simple. I spent £15 on a meal I couldn't finish*, we stopped for coffee twice and she also bought five () pairs of shoes paid for with what she described as 'her' money. Stress, stress stress.... Anyway, here's a few shots of Wales' capital City.

Some pictures I took today at southsea/Old Portsmouth,the first one is an anchor from HMS Victory,the second/third are The Royal Garrison Church,the roof was destroyed in an air raid in 1941,the fourth is a memorial to Lord Nelson.The others are views of Clarence Pier funfair and the Seafront on a rather blowy day.
