Went shopping with the missus today and got stuck inside a vintage lingerie boutique. They really shouldn't keep all their basques in one exit.

At the bakers I asked "How much are your cakes?". The baker replied "They're all a pound each". I said "I'll have that one then". "Certainly sir, that'll be two pounds". "Hang on, I thought you said they were all a pound?" "They are - but that's Madiera cake."

Watching the news I became concerned about the American VEF members living on the east coast - because apparently they've had a bad spell of wether.
