I believe that's true in many countries, not just Australia. Unemployment numbers are the most politically sensitive economic stats there are. So they find ways to make them look lower than they really are. I think almost everyone knows this

One thing it's not so easy to falsify afaik, is the employment numbers, or Labor Force Participation Rate, as economists say. If employment and unemployment go down at the same time, it's clear something unusual is happening

I left with the impression that it was fairly easy to migrate to Australia. So long as the migrator fits certain demographics.

Thumbs up What if you lived in Australia ?

Would ask Estreeter if he needed anybody whacked, today

Hey i`m sleeping in the mans house, relentlessly raiding his fridge and swimming in his pool for Allah`s sake

Course i`d want to pay my own way

Actually, I meant people with money. The investor requirements are very lenient for becoming a permanent resident. The person who we stayed with in Brisbane works in the government to recruit Asians to become investors in Australia.

Didn't know about the situation with whitey.

Don't know.

But I never heard of about the specific immigration policy you referenced until I click on the links. I certainly wasn't referencing any abolished policy. Like everything else in 2013, it's the color of your money that matters.

I haven't read effCup's links, but I thought they wanted immigrants to have lots of money and/or a "desired profession"

Out of curiosity, how would that work in your case? Would you be able to get a license and practice, or would you have to take additional courses?

Tap the brake comrade. It might not even be possible in my case. It came up in a discussion about what our host does for employment. We never got into the "what does winebeavis have to do to move here." I did see that the lawyers got to wear wigs and thought that was really cool. Until it's blazing hot in the summer.

More of a comparison to the U.S. requirements and my little understanding of some of the European requirements.

Well, if you ever make it to the German Supreme Court, you'll have to wear red like the Spanish Inquisition

The Inquisition were lawyers too, in fact. Maybe a Mod-lawyer would look good in red

Does Australia have a Supreme Court, or can they still be overruled by England?
