Imagehost Problems, Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, PixHost, ImgBox etc - Page 106

Renaming a file won't get it past an imagehost ban. It should be OK if you crop it slightly using something like Microsoft Office picture Manager. As this is extremely laborious, you might consider using an alternative imagehost on this occasion, as I've had to do 44 times this evening.

If you have Photoshop and Bridge you can record an action that will add a pixel to the image width or height, then run the action on a set of photos before you fire them up.

Thanks for the prompt replies, I didn't want to go against perceived wisdom on here by circumventing ImageBam.

Not sure if that'd work as they may use image recognition software, but give it a try

although it seems a bit of a ballache to do rather than just use another host

The extra pixel does throw their system. Once the action is set up it will blow through hundreds of images in a very short time - I use actions for more 'mundane' stuff as part of a my job.

I'm failing to get BID Image downloader to work in some parts of the site. It works in Classic Celebs, but not in Modern Celebs. And I can't for the life of me identify why this should be. Anybody out there with a possible answer?

Yup took me ages to get a 9 pics uploaded earlier. Funnily enough it only finally worked when I didnt login

Yes, I have switched to imagebam in the meantime. It's surprising that this issue has been going on for days and hasn't been solved yet. I'll try benolli's suggestion and not log in.

I always swith to imagevenue basic mode when having issues, seems to work better

I've used it for years but I noticed it is particularly bad towards early-late evening so my advice is not to upload anything after 7pm.
